Tina/Blenky here, the ML for Thompson area! Not too many people seem to be from the North that I've seen, and we don't seem to have our own forum up yet, so I'd just like to invite you to add your name to this topic and let me know you're around! A number for some of the nifties we could get would be real nice.
I'll be posting where we will have our kick off party soon, as well where our Northern write-ins will be held, so hang in there!

okay folks! Better late than never and I'm sorry about the short notice, but for those of you northern folks who are attempting Nano, there will be a Kick-Off event tomorrow at the Thompson library (as long as their heat is fixed) at 6-8 pm. I will be in the library earlier (around 4 pm) if you'd just like to get together to do some writing and chat. I'll be the one wearing "ask me about my novel" stickers and hiding behind the laptop. Yes, it's lonely in the north when you are a group of 1 or so. I only know of my self and 1 other nanowriter in the Flin Flon area. (the other one is actually on the Saskatchewan side of the border). Won't be able to join the kick off.

Hello all us Thompsonites! Hope the wintery weather is helping encourage your butts to stay in chairs, drink hot chocolate and write! I myself happen to be on the brink of owing a dear friend any chore she wants, another a Saturday of Jr. Bowling supervision and free babysitting unless I get my word count up *Darn Onerosity coupons...shoulda just...wait, this isn't my inside voice, is it?*

I'd say instead of Baacos, that go to like Boston Pizza or something; they have better food, in my opinion.
Whom else in Thompson is past 15k so far? I just hit 15k before I went out to the Rememberance Day Ceremony *gawd-damned trumpet* and I'm aiming for 20k before the day is out.
