Ok
Monday's are out, cause I have a standing commitment.
Wednesdays, similarly.
Other than that, I'm open. SOOOOO.
Could people call a day they'd like to meet up, in Cheltenham, during the evening. I'd ideally suggest Friday, for a couple of hours before we all go off to do other things, or go home to our families, but that's just a thought.
:) Provisionally, though, our kick off meet SHOULD be the 2nd of November, cause I've just been totally pants at organising stuff ;)

Hi everyone.
I've just discovered this NaNoWriMo thing today 4th November and I'm raring to go. Knocked off 1200 words, but realise I need to work faster (god I wish these words counted). What's happening? Are there meets? I'm a newbie so know nothing..............help!

I won't be running the meet this Friday, but if you all want to get together, then please feel free. I can pass on the t-shirt of DOOOOM to someone else to wear for that weekend (its neon green, for ease of finding your ML in a crowded pub), and can print off table tents and the like.
I also just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone that did attend last Friday, it was a blast ;)
I won't be there this week cause of familial visits due to us being about 400 miles from my family and it being my birthday this weekend - mom and my stepdad are driving down with the dog, the eldest is off camping and generally, its too hectic to shoe horn in anything else, so my apologies.
But I will be around the Friday after ;)

I can't do this Friday but am all in favour of a write-in or something next week - I need the encouragement!

It's all gone a bit quiet around here - I can only assume you're all writing your little butts off! Anyone up for a meet this Friday for encouragement and ideas and beer and buckets of chips?

Unfortunately, after writing like crazy for the first week, I then got ill and had a couple of days of virtually nothing. I'm still on track for 50k by the end of week 2, though, if I can just get back in gear.
I should be free this coming Friday (16th) - would be very grateful if anyone who lives near Stroud would be able to give me a lift back, otherwise I'll have to leave quite early, but I'll be there anyway.

Yep, THIS Friday should be fine. I might be in a cast, cause I think I've broken my foot again (and on my birthday too!) but I'll be there!

Can offer my flat as after-Varsity coffee joint - I have some genuine Twin Peaks coffee which is - excuse me - *damn* fine coffee. I could get a cherry pie in too... I have no wi-fi or anything and can't vouch for the cleanliness of it but it's town centre at least!

Does anyone know where is a good place to park in Cheltenham on a Friday night? I usually leave my car in a backstreet in Montpellier and walk in - is that a good plan, or is there somewhere else where you can guarantee getting a space?

I'm sorry I didn't make it on Friday - I was violently sick, and couldn't find anyone when I eventually made it in.
I hope y'all managed to meet up anyway, and we'll see about arranging next week's meet ;)

Can't find the topic, but don't expect to be out tomorrow - life has caught up with me a bit the last couple of weeks (hence the pitiful word count!) so need a night in recuperating and cleaning and all that boring stuff... sorry :(

As your other half can probably explain, life did a number on me and left me metaphorically bleeding in an alley somewhere, so have been placed on all manner of wonderful pharmacuticals, beyond painkillers for my bad leg so wasn't actually planning on running unless I got 20 emails. I got four, so we'll call this week a 'omg, its the last day, gotta catch up' and can meet up virtually, if people like, online and stuff.
Hope things settle down somewhat, or already are, and we can arrange a meet for next week/the week after.
