My story centers around an African-American couple. She believes in God and grew up Pentecostal, but no longer attends church regularly. His family belonged to an AME church, and though he does not believe in God he attends church every Sunday, mostly to please his mother.
What are some ways the church services are different from each other?
How might their differences in religion come between them (besides the obvious, that has faith and he doesn't)?
Thank you so much for your help!

I'm AME Zion, which is pretty close to what you're looking for.
We take communion once a month, on the first Sunday, and also at Christmas Eve services and on Watchnight. Baptism is done at infancy, with sprinkling, and it's the same for adults. I think Pentecostals go with immersion the way that Baptists do. Certain churches may or may not be opposed to Halloween--when I lived in North Carolina, my church there had a Halloween festival type thing, and they had prizes and the kids could wear costumes and everything (and there was even something like that at the Catholic school I went to!), but here in Texas, my church is against that and is holding an alternate type program, where the only costumes allowed are for Biblical characters and such.
The official AMEZ and AME sites could be a good resource: http://www.amez.org/ and http://www.ame-church.com/index.php
----------Also, the Wiki article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Methodist_Episcopal_Church) is really helpful as well.
