There is no subtlety or secrecy about it. No cover of darkness. There is no need for secrecy, as the garage is in the middle of a very hidden location, and no need for trepidation, because the past few years all has gone... ... she wouldn't have entirely said 'well', but 'adequately and hyperactively'. So, no secrecy or trepidation. In fact it's the middle of the day and the main emotion she is feeling is excitement, as she rolls up the giant door of the hangar-like garage, to find The Bus in all it's glory.

It's not until the smell of dead orca hits her that she starts feeling the slight twinge of 'why did I volunteer for this??'
She pulled out her magic cleaning supplies and magic power tools (it had to be magic because otherwise she'd have nailed herself to the bus by accident within 2 seconds) and put on a gas mask, and entered the building.

Trailing behind Nyandra as she approaches the great Bus of NaNo, Mal wonders where everyone's gone. He was sure that only a little while ago, the garage had been full of the sounds of work (and cursing, of course) but now, it seems silent.

Apparently speaking to his hand, Mal asks "Where is everyone? It's day two of NaNo and the bus is still sitting in the shed."

The Hand of Malleus, remains silent.

"Of course, there's something wrong here... Something EVIL, perhaps!"

The Hand still doesn't say anything.

"I think it's best if we investigate, just to make sure that the bus didn't leave without us"

By now, Nyandra has been inside the garage for quite a while, and no further sounds have come from within. Steeling himself for the inevitability of attack by rabid nargle-beasts from Zoltron V, Malleus steps up to the entrance, and listens.

Nothing. But that doesn't mean very much. Because, of course, Ninja's make no noise. In fact, they sometimes make even less than no noise.

It's probably Ninjas, then.

Looking back, and nodding once to the omnipotent narrator (who just happens to be looking on from the most artistic point of view, of course), Malleus runs into the building...

Waving his arms in the air wildly and babbling, in an attempt to scare away whatever foul fiends reside within...

The Bus rides again tonight!

And there she found Avalanche, happily tinkering with the engine, utterly covered in simile and adverbial conjunctions.
" No, I don't know what the heck they are either , " he grinned as he pulled the engine cover shut, " but this bus is ready to roll ! I"ll just top up the metaphor tank, and then you can start the engine. "

As Nyandra and Dr Frag climbed aboard, Avalanche took out his rusty trusty sax and gave then a rousing rendition of the Star Trek Voyager theme, echoing magneficently in the soon to be empty garage.....

Sanity Bites was just walking down the street minding his own business when he hears the sudden allure of a theme song...could it be? Is it true? As he cocked his head to the side and strained himself he realised it was indeed the star trek voyager theme song, at first he thought it was his mobile so he quickly grabbed it but found it was silent.

He was filled with mixed feelings at that, for one it meant his dad wasn't calling him...but now it meant a mystery...naturally being the curious little insect that he was he couldn't resist, his feet began to fall before him as he wound his way through the streets and come to what appeared to be a garage, not one for respecting privacy he happily ducked his head in and looked around.

He was struck with the sudden realisation he recognised some of these people, and yet they seemed to be tinkering with a bus...

"Hey guys, whats up?"

Ratesjul was wandering along, minding her own business, when she thought she heard the word "bus" whispering on the wind. 'Oh', she thought, 'I wonder if the Adelaide forum will be going on their bus tour again this year. I should go and check it out...'

Nyandra looks up from the reinstallation of a new Orca, (she's already made sure that hover beds were there, and more seating) and wonders where the driver of the Bus is?
