To affiliate, click on "My Nanowrimo" in the gray bar above. You will see two tabs there, Regions and My Regions (default). Go to the Regions tab and you will see all the regions listed out there. Click on the "Affiliate" link next to the "Asia: India" region, to get affiliated.

I was just reading the forum and saw an India related thread so went ahead and guided the poster. (For entirely selfish reasons: hoping to get the region headcount to 100 before we get to midnight.) I do hope I wasn't stepping on your toes giving advice to someone on your forum, tho.
