Hi there! Just like for Lexington, we thought that you deserve a thread to meet and greet those from your neck of the woods. We are hoping that you will gather here to introduce yourselves and plan some meet-ups and write-ins. We will keep on eye on your postings here and add your events to our regional calendar (once we have one!) Good luck everyone!
Susan & LaMishia (Your Co-MLs)
P.S. If you live/work closer to Lexington then by all means switch over to that post! I think there are quite of few WriMos out there that are eager to plan some meetings! You could even join forces and meet somewhere in the middle!

It seems like there aren't many people in our area doing the Wrimo. The closest congregations seem to be in Winchester, Roanoke and Charlottesville, which is too bad. I'm at least going to try and make it to one of the end of the month parties.

There's me and arrowsforpens, at least. I know some others who are doing nano, but I don't think they're on the site. :(
Write-ins would be awesome, though--y'all from JMU?

Hi this is just a friendly hello from your Co-ML Susan. So far on this thread I count three plus one for your area. I know there are at least three more who simply haven't posted here. If you are up for it why don't you set up a write-in at a local coffee shop, cafe or library (even if you area party of one!) Email me the date, time and location and I will add it to the calendar and either you or I could start an RSVP thread. Who knows! There were only three of us at first event up North, five at our second, eight at the third, the fouth was canceled because no one could make it and we are expecting four today. We even recruited an innocent bystander at our second meeting! So go for it! Get an event on the calender and see what happens! At the very worst, you would get some writing done outside of your house!

I'm from JMU! This is my second year NaNo-ing, although it is my first year doing it at JMU (I am a freshman). We should have a JMU write in at the Barnes and Noble, because I have not been there yet and I am looking for any excuse I can get to go in there without being tempted to spend money I don't have on books.

Yup! I'm here at JMU too. I didn't know there were so many... Exciting!
Any Dukes/townies want to do a finishing party?
