With 700+ writers in our region, I figured some of us might be writing in the GLBT genre. If you are, did you want to get together and do a write-in? And just in case you're wondering, my goal is to write a GLBT novel that isn't a coming out story, a cheesy romance or a lesbian murder mystery (which I've always found to be the oddest subgenre I've ever come across -- interesting, but odd).
Any takers out there?
Peace out!

GLBT writer (though my story focuses on friendship and bonds rather than romance - and has straight characters in it). But I have other stories I'm working on (I'm pretty ambitious).
Would love to do a write in and really kick the crap out of some words.
And yay for no cheesy romances or cliched coming out stories. :)

For the last 2 years, I attempted the same novel, which was sort of in the GLBT genre, but I considered it literary fiction for the most part. I lost both years and am trying something different this year, but after NaNo is over, I'll be getting back to it, but seriously this time.

GLBT writer, writing a fantasy novel where some of the characters, incidentally, fall into some of those initials. hehe I've never done any of the local get togethers or write ins. I'm shy, and have transportation issues, and computer mobility issues, and a kid. ^_^ Anyway, good luck to everyone! I always lurk the forums in November, and disappear the rest of the year. I hope to get to know some new people, even if it's just on the screen.

I have done some GLBT stories, and I'm the "B" in that abbriviation, but unfortunately, I fear it will be, if anything, a subplot in my novel.

Lesbian murder mystery.. for some reason, I've only read one of those.
I'm doing a GLBT novel.. really just the G. Mine (at least, I'm planning this way) won't have any coming out stories, lesbian detectives, characters on their death bed from AIDS, etc. As for cheesy romance.. is it cheesy if the characters are an established couple before the novel starts? Hmm.
I'd be up for a write-in, depending on where it would be held.

B here, and my protagonist has told me that she's L, and right now she and her ex-girlfriend and her ex's new girlfriend are in the middle of something relatively bizarre and slapstick. I'm just along for the ride here.

I'm writing a "G" romance, but it's too dramatic and serious to be cheesy... I hope ;)
