If anyone else is interested in meeting in Westville. :-D I'm happy with Saturday or Sunday but Saturday is best. Anytime after 11 AM works for me. My ideas for meeting places are:

Lucky Otter - burritos, pizza (after 5), great beer on tap, margaritas, nice big tables they don't mind if you move around or sit at for hours on end

West End Bakery - soup, sandwiches, bagels, all kinds of great coffees, tea, juice, salad, good sized tables and again don't seem to mind how long you sit as long as you order something

Bean Werks - okay I've never actually BEEN here, but I've always wanted to and they roast their own coffee and I hear it's really really good!

These are all onHaywood Road in West Asheville. You can take 240W straight down Patton to get there or just stay on 240 and get off at the West Asheville exit. (I think that's right, I'm always too busy driving to read the sign!)

Any other suggestions would be fantastic! Those are just the three places I like best. :-D

I would like to meet up this weekend! I think Saturday would work best for me, also. I vote for West End Bakery simply because its my most favorite-ist place to go!

I'm open to just about anywhere, though.

YAY!

Cool! I don't do coffee but my other half does. I'm game for meeting at either West-End or the Lucky Otter. As long as there are no steps, I can be there!

Anytime works for me (I don't do mornings unless paid to)

I just got around to updating my NaNo info today. I'm in West AVL and would love to get some people together. I'm still relatively new here and while writing time is precious in November, meeting up would be great.

I've only ever been to The Lucky Otter but love it there. I don't do coffee but can meet just about anywhere. Sundays are busy with Scrabble (Books-A-Million at 1 PM) but Saturdays could work. Noon?

Cheers!

Wow, I am such a boob..... I got all excited about Nano and meeting up that I realized I have guests coming this weekend and can't exactly ditch them for my November habit. :-( I feel so stupid. So I can't meet up this Saturday but the next Saturday (Nov 9) I am wide open! I lean more towards 1 or 2 PM but I liked the suggestion of Noon too! I like to do a lot of my writing at night. ;-)

I hope you all get together this Saturday though!

The Lucky Otter serves margaritas? I'll need to give that a try sometime. Saturdays are touch-and-go for me. Sometimes my fiance works, sometimes not. He's working this Saturday, so I'll have the kids. I'll try to make it when I can though. I'm not in WA, but I flit between Leicester and Arden all the time so it's right in the middle for me. :)

Are you kidding?!!! They have the bestest margaritas ever! They're $3.50 a piece and they sure don't skimp on the tequila. Yum yum.

I'm getting an inkling that the end of November party should be at LO con margaritas y burritos............

:-D!!

So? When? Saturdays at 2pm?

Where? West End Bakery? Lucky Otter? (how kid friendly is L.O.?)

Well it looks like my friend isn't coming this weekend so I am free tomorrow!

2 PM this Saturday sounds good! I vote for West End Bakery.

LO is VERY kid friendly, probably one of the top 3 most kid friendly restaurants in town I've been to! And they really don't care how much you "mess up" their tables. The bakery is cool too, they have a nice kids' play area set up in the front.

THIS Saturday I won't be able to meet until after around 4/4:30PM...due to a birthday party. I'm available all day Sunday, however. This week, I'm in North Asheville (long story) but I actually live in between North and West Asheville, so I can get to either one really quickly/easiliy.

Hope to see you all next week, if not this week!

Maybe we could do Sunday early or late afternoon or Monday after 6 at Lucky Otter? (the bakery closes at 6.)

Yike! Now it's just getting confusing. The majority seems to be West End Bakery at 2 PM Tomorrow (Sat.) That's where I'll be! I hope someone else shows up! ;)

I was at the West End Bakery on Sat. but no one else was. No prob - I had a good time there. It closes at 3 though...so if you want to meet there, 2 p.m. would be too late, I'd think. I'm open for suggestions...

I don't think anything's planned so far. I can't do daytime on Saturday. I could do afternoon on Sunday (and not get the times mixed up this time, geez) if other people signed on to the idea. I know it's not WVL, but Atlanta Bread Company on Merrimon would be a top choice for me Sunday. I'm open to suggestions though.

I can do Sunday evenings, but not daytime.

Other than that, I'm thinking about going to the Thursday get together at the Atlanta Bread Company.

If anyone wants to do anything over the weekend, I'm game.

Santiago, it was YOUR idea to meet up on Saturdays! ROFLMAO!

Fickle little fart, eh? Just teasing. Real Life changes plans on a regular basis.

If all goes as planned (Real Life and all that) I will be at the Atlanta Bread Company on Merrimon Ave (just down from Asheville Pizza and Brewery) at 2pm today.

I will bring goodies that I should have taken on Thursday.

See you at 2!

I stayed until just after 2:30 and didn't see anyone :-( I'm too behind on the word count to've waited longer. Sorry to anyone who showed up after 2:30.

I guess we should give up trying to meet on the weekends! lol!

I saw on Gourmet Perks' sign that they're open after 4 PM now if anyone wants to have a Monday night N Asheville fiesta.

Where were you Santiago?

Was this Sunday or Saturday?

And where is Gourmet Perks? Is that down on Merrimon near downtown? Little light colored brick building?

Hey there. This doesn't seem to be working. I work until past 6 on T-W-Th but should try to stop in at ABC. Anyone still wanting to get together on the weekends?

Tomorrow (Sat.), I'm going to go to the West End Bakery. I'll be there noon-ish. Anyone who is interested, stop by. :)

Otherwise, I'm hoping to break 20k. I'm sooooo behind!
