Hey there! Spirit Bear kindly offered to setup write-ins for us and I think we should take him up on the offer! I have a sneaky suspicion I will only make it out to Spokane proper once or twice and having a kid & spouse free zone to pound out words would be fabulous - especially if it's only 5 minutes from home. I don't know many locations that offer rooms big enough to fit 6+ people, but maybe there arn't that many of us anyway.
Post here and let's see what we can get started. I can supply the coffee if need be. =)

If you get something set up, let me know and I'll add it to the calendar. If there are space restrictions, we'll need to know that, since if it's on the calendar, you might get people who are willing to drive a ways for a chance to up their wordcount.
While it's still a bit of a drive for you, we do have Fridays scheduled for Airway Heights, starting on the 9th (since the all-night event starts late this Friday). So there will be at least three write-ins that you would not have to travel all the way into Spokane to attend. This was done with the Cheney / EWU / Fairchild people in mind, in trying to give as many people as possible at least one writing venue that doesn't involve more than a 30 minute drive.

Howdy!
Cheney Delights is open till 3am on Thu, Fri, and Sat. I talked with Fred last night, and asked if we could have several write-ins at his place. To which he gleefully said yes!
So, I was thinking Fri nights. However I see one is set up for Airway Heights. So, we could do this one every Sat. Arriving whenever and writing until about 2:30am, and then help him clean up a bit. Of course if there was enough that wanted to we could meet at his place whenever it would work out. He is closed on Sun and Mon.
Cheney Delights, has food and some of the most wonderful homemade ice-cream you could ever hope to find. And his prices are very resonable. I don't think it would be a problem but I'll ask Fred if he would mind us making coffee.
Oh, it is also a Wi-Fi hotspot. So, after our sessions, we can up load the word count....provided the site lets us do that ;)
Feel free to email me directly to let me know if this will work out for you folks. (I'm going to be there anyway, to get away from the cat that wants to nap on my lap ONLY when I'm working on this or some artwork, grin)
Thanks and have fun!

Hey Rich! *waves*
I can't make write-ins on Saturday nights. I go to a roleplaying game with my husband those nights. But - I can go other days & evenings. It's so nice of Fred to offer his place! I didn't know they were open so late! And ice cream as a self-rewardsfor making word count! Yum!! Let me know if you want to carpool to one of the AH nights. I'd be happy to drive.
PS - my cat is growlly because I ignore her pretty much this whole month! lol. She makes her displeasure known quite well by laying on my keyboard so I can't type! Goofy thing takes up the entire laptop!

Thanks for the offer! I'd love that, and it'd be a chance to see some other countryside besides Cheney and Spokane! Tonight I have men's group (only meets once a month), but I can be at Cheney Delights on both Fri and Sat. for those that want to get together whenever it's best for them.
Which RPG do you folks play? I played AD&D decades ago, ok more like a couple of lifetimes ago! LOL Also, fell in love with Vampire, the masqurade. Maybe that's what makes us such good story tellers...humm gives me an idea for next year.....
Drat I forgot to ask Fred about bringing coffee...going to have to do that.
Keep in touch.

Looking foreward to getting to meet some of you folks.
Have fun.

Cheney Delights opens at 12:30pm Tue-Sat. The schedualed closing time is 9:30. Fred is playing with staying open until 3:00am on Thu, Fri, and Sat to give another option to those who would like to nosh on something after an evening of drinking.
See you for ice-cream sometime.
Have fun
