Last-minute kick-off event at Vic's downtown

Forgot to mention, although it's probably obvious, that we're doing this tomorrow, Nov. 1. At Vic's downtown! (not North Boulder).

What a great turnout (says she who is completely new)! We had four people show! We're talking about having it a more-or-less standing every Tuesday and Friday at 12:30 event. So tomorrow, I'll be there, for one! The tables are super roomy (and EMPTY at lunch time) and there's a round of electrical outlets under each table. They have fabulous pomegranate green tea, and there's a sandwich shop down the hall and the proprietors of Vic's don't care if we bring in outside food.

Hello on a Tuesday! Fairly low turn-out today, just me and Tenaya (LadyT), but then, it is Tuesday. Words were written, etc.

Going to the Burnt Toast tonight!

I'll be there every Tues and Fri (well, and every day in between and otherwise) till the end, with the exception of the 29th. And then, after all the sedentary-ness and the crap I'm eating, will be looking into a gym membership next door on December 1.

I'll be there today, again, sucking down my salmon sandwich from the Boulder Creek Market at the other end of the building (again). I have a paper strip taped to my laptop that says "NaNoWriMo." I have some catching up to do, due to missing yesterday's lunch and now I have a roughly 300 word deficit.

I won't make it today, Weds. But I will definitely be there again on Fri 11/9. Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing those I've met already! And to writing, writing writing!

I'll be at Vic's downtown from noon to 1:30. Hope to see some Wrimo's there!

Dang! I just accepted lunch plans at Centro because I forgot my lunch (again) and was loathe to eat another salmon sandwich. I'm trying to (shhhhhh) up my word count at work, working off of my flash drive. I'll be there tomorrow for sure, though (hopefully NOT eating another salmon sandwich)!

Don't worry about missing me, Heather! I was a bit distracted. better luck next week. I'll be in Boulder on Thursday again and will head to Vic's if you think you might make it.

I was concerned that I couldn't get on Vic's wifi there. Anyone else have problems with that?

Today was crazy -- I forgot my RTD pass so I had to pay with cash when I got on the BOLT. I had my wallet out as I got on the bus, which I usually don't, and then don't remember ever putting my wallet away. So, I got off the bus in Boulder with my backpack and my trunk bag for my bike. but no wallet. Lucky I had my lunch with me.

I found out who my friends were at that point. The RTD security guy told me he could get me back on the BOLT to Longmont without cash. Bless you, Steve. Then a friend loaned me some bucks so I was able to get a Coke and pay may way back home. Tomorrow I have to go back to Boulder Station early to see if the wallet they found at the 33rd street garage is mine. (Yes, they have to ship it to Boulder Station before I can have a look!)

Now, how can I fit this experience into my novel??????

Oh my gosh! I hope you get your wallet back! That sounds like an ordeal.

The WiFi there, I've learned, does go down occasionally - we just have to ask the guy behind the counter to reset it, and a few minutes later it's back up.

Not sure if anyone else is going, but just in case...I just got a big document production thing that I really need to finish before I break to write, so I may be late - but I'll be there. I'm in jeans and a charcoal grey fuzzy shirt with a V-neck and white/light grey crocks.

Lady T and I were there with our little sign at one of the table from about 12:00 to 1:30. Actually T stayed longer, and may still be there.

I will be there for sure on Tuesday. (Fridays I will almost assuredly not be there. Ditto Wednesday.)

I didn't get down there till three-freaking-fifteen. Darn real job, anyway. I was contemplating leaving work early to go home, but figured I'd get more words down if I went to Vic's and wrote - so coughed up about 1,000 words, went back to work for 45 minutes, and left. Have some major catching up to do...

Come hell or high water, I'll be there (Monday and) Tuesday (and Wednesday through Friday), darn it! (I'm posting it and threatening to beat my daily word count into submission).

I should be too - missing two days' lunch time writing really kicked my butt last week.

Yay for being caught up! I got caught up, too, after getting home. Not doing nearly so well with the paid freelance project, though. Very hard to just "sit down and do it." Avoidance is a Physical Force. *sigh*

I am here at Vic's downtown. I missed the bus, so I drove my stinkin'; gasser in to my Pilates class this morning, but left my car down at Baseline and 30th. It took me a bit longer to walk (I normally bike) so I was a bit late. Hope no one came at 11:30 and figured I had bailed!!! And, the best part is that the wifi is UP!

Alienor, Sorry I'm not in Boulder today, or I would have loved to come by Vic's and meet you and write with you! And Blu Gnat we'll miss you tomorrow. Good luck with work. Hey Carla and Fever and kochitas and others, are any of you making it to Vic's tomorrow? I'm still figuring out my Friday...Niki I know you're out on Fridays. Hope that work project is going well!

That's OK, lady1. I am getting some words in:(971 so far) and reading up on the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials. Because I have my car today, I brought a box of stuff for CHaRM.) I'll be here again next week, unless something( comes up. Thursdays are the only days I am in Boulder regularly.

Oh no Mongoose! I would have loved to write with you today, but I ended up staying home. I'm sorry! I'll be there Tues. though!

I shall now collapse. Two nights, no sleep. Started actually falling asleep midsentence now and again, which would have been cool in the novel; mysterious phrases about "tiny blue butterflies" might make for interesting plot bunnies. Hhowever, the butterflies did NOT belong in a non-fiction work-for-hire how-to.

So, I won't be at Vic's tomorrow after all, as I swapped my days at work to allow me to stay home today. But I will plan on being there Thursday if I do not see that random write-in Mongoose was threatening.

....I'll fix the events calendar later tonight.
