So, we're really going to do this! I read the book two weeks ago. I immediately decided I was meant to participate. I have completed a small about of prep work and yet I remain committed. (and may be committed before this is over) What are the odds that I can find other participants in Polk County or Sevier County? Well, anyone?

looks like I'm all alone here. That's what happens when you're in the triangle-an hour and a half away from Texarkanas, Hot Springs and Fort Smith. Thank goodness for fellow family members who write and are also nanowrimo participants.

Just joined today. Big plans for the future.
How about "used to live in Polk County"? Will that do? Had a cabin in Wicks (sp?) Now live in Pike County. Forgiven?
Are you planning for next year?

Definately! When I moved to Polk County it was supposed to be temporary-until I figured out what was next for me in life. Well that was 1990 and I'm still here. Although I did move from Mena to Cove in 1992. So I'm sure a part of south polk county now. Are you an original Polk County?
I do have a plan for next year. One of the characters in this year's novel left town and I intend to follow her on her journey. In the meantime I am coping with the fact that I was able to write over 50k words in one month and now over three weeks have passed and I am still in the progress of spell checking so I can print out what I wrote! Have lots of rewrites ahead of me.
Would love to stay in touch.

I'm from Mena, and my parents still live there. I'm up in Jonesboro now, but it's nice to see Polk County represent.
