Where two or three are gathered in Nano’s name…
Hi everyone.
I received an envelope of official NaNoWriMo booty. This year they are assorted witty stickers and may be of interest to scrapbookers or collectors of fabulous sticky bits of paper.
Denton and I are splitting the booty boundary of Alberta::Elsewhere up. Anyone whose groups are meeting in Red Deer or north send me a private message letting me know how many people attend your gatherings and I will try to send a sticker for each person. I have a limited amount, so depending on the requests I receive, I may have to divvy up the fabulous stickers accordingly. Please have your requests in to me by November 11th and I will get them in the mail on Monday the 12th.
NB: No, I won’t send them out to individuals because I am too cheap to pay the postage costs by the ones. Plus you should be getting together to coffee and such.

Eh. Isn't NaNoWriMo enough work without having to socialize about it? LOL

The Northern Hawk Owl (surnia ulula) is a crow sized owl that acts more like a hawk than an owl. Unlike most owls, it is diurnal, which means it hunts during the day. This owl is not afraid of humans, and will let you get very close to it. Although

No, no, no... NaNoWriMo isn't work - laundry is work; mailing stickers is work - NaNoWriMoing itself is art!
And arty people need to get together for a mid-month how's it going party were emergency chocolate is served and the Wrimos are pampered and adored, and get to wear feather boas and sparkly tops.
It is quite ironic isn't it HawkOwl, that Nano is promoted as a social/party event, when writing is such a solitary experience.

Yeah, especially when we're simultaneously telling ourselves constantly how insane it is and all-consuming the pace is... And then we're supposed to have get-togethers once a week and post in forums and all that... I don't get it. :)
And, er, I wouldn't go so far as to call my writing "art." LOL
