I think I had 3000 words by this time yesterday. I had 5000 total. I've barly got 1500 today. ;_;

This is is my first Nano and I'm worried about burning out to soon.

Hi Vulpine_Wolf,
no - you're not burning out, you just haven't got into your stride yet. Keep typing and you'll be amazed how quickly that word count goes up.

If you can make it, a bunch of us are meeting up at the Prince of Wales in Cardiff today. I'll be there from about 12 o'clock - look out for the purple hat if you come to join us. Hats are not obligatory, but it helps us to spot each other.

Good luck with the word count and hope to see you at a meet-up.

Jay ;-)

I hope you're right. I've hit 10k now. I'm hoping to have 12k by the end of the day.

Sadly I can't to the meeting today. Do you know when the next one is?

Yes, the next one is Sunday 18th, 12noon at the prince of Wales again. I'll post the details on another thread and in our regional events.

Glad to see the word count growing. Keeep it up - and don't forget to sign-up for the Word Wars.

Jay ;-)

And now I shall weep over the fact that I work weekends. If I can get there at all it won't be until after two at the earliest.

Ah, bad news. If you're going to make it after 2pm, let me know by the Friday at the latest, and I'll make sure to hang around. It would be good to meetchya, if poss.

Anyone else who could make a later slot?

Dang. It doesn't look like I can make it. One of the Girls I work with is having a family emergency and there aren’t enough people to cover the shifts if I skip out early. *Snap fingers*

I was looking forward to talking to other people who actually know what Nano is, but it looks like I’ll have to wait until next week.
