Can anyone tell me the PHYSICAL difference between a standard (or common) rosary and a St. Anthony's rosary? I hear the latter are rare. And if not, can you tell me where to look to find out?
Thanks! --vrt

Hi, I think I can help answer this question, being a practicing Catholic. Chaplets and Rosaries aren't quite the same thing necessarily. There are subtle differences. The rosary, for example, consists of five decades, or five groups of ten beads (the Hail Marys) which are separated by a single bead (the Our Father). Chaplets can be prayed a number of different ways, depending on the chaplet and how the prayers are divided up. Many chaplets are structured enough like the rosary that you can use your rosary's beads to pray those chaplets. But you can also find actual chaplets themselves that aren't structured like a rosary in terms of its beads. It just depends. It's a very basic explanation, but I hope it helps. For further, more detailed information, I will direct you to this site that I found. It gives excellent information about the differences between chaplets and rosaries!

God, that's powerful stuff! I never knew any of that. I really loved the final prayer, after all the 'thees' and 'thous':
Tony Tony, come around.
Something is lost and cannot be found
