Hi, DC novelists -- We had a nice group at the write in that Amber hosted last night near Farragut Square. Thanks, Amber for arranging it. My understanding is that Amber is not planning to host that every Thursday, but some of us thought we would like to continue meeting there on Thursdays. It is not big, but it also was not busy, so there were plenty of tables and we didn't seem to be bothering anybody with our mad typing and occassional shouts of triumph. They even came around with little samples of chocolate chip cookies!

So if folks want to meet there next Thursday from 6 -8 let's go for it. If it looks like it is going to be more than 3 or 4 of us I'll give them a call and ask them to reserve tables.

Starbucks at 1455 K St NW (15th & K) 6-8 pm

Take the Farragut North, Farragut West or MacPherson Square metros
The Starbucks is between Vermont & 15th streets on K

See you there, and happy noveling!!

Excellent - I am trying to arrange a write-in at Wonderland in Columbia Heights but if that doesn't happen (or isn't on Thursdays) I'd love to keep meeting at Starbucks. I am amazed at how much peer pressure helps force me to write!

This week's a little busy and I'm not sure I'd be able to make it on this Thursday, but this is a great location for me and I'll definitely try to make it this week and next. Thanks!

I'm planning on showing up. We should let them know we're coming. Anyone want to make the call?

I'll call. Not user how many we'll be -- I'll ask them to reserve 3 tables back where we were last week. Does that sound right?

Hey so are people going to this tonight? I could definitely use the group dynamic (and the caffeine). Well, I think I will show up regardless ... work permitting.

I'm planning on being there today at about 6, like all the weeks. Hope to see someone there for the final push. Regardless, if I get to my 50000th word, I'm going to be busting out the happy dance.

Peace.

I didn't get out of work in time to go by tonight, but I just finished and submitted and got all the cool congratulations! It was a lot harder this year for me, so I'm pretty proud of myself for slogging through. I'll print out the big certificate tomorrow to hang on my office door over last year's certificate.

I'll see all of you Saturday.
