Are there any events planned for further south than Irvine? I live in the south county area, and I Tuesday nights are the worst possible nights for me to meet, although the location is okay. I was just wondering if there would be any coffee shop/bookstore/etc. write-ins more south in the county, or possibly during weekend afternoons (or both!)? I'd like to go to at least one event to meet the other crazy people participating in this event, but it will be difficult with only the current events planned.

Howdy!

Unfortunately I don't get much farther south than Irvine - however, I'd be happy to take a look at my schedule and maybe plan one where I go a little farther if there is enough interest. The day most likely for that to happen might be the 21st. If other people are interested, I could go for that=)

And if you want to do something informally, feel free to create your own write-in and you have my blessing. I'll even post it to the calendar.

The half-way party is also coming up and I'm looking at a Friday or Saturday for that, so that's an option, too. Hope that helps!

Peace and good words,
TSEdiot

I actually work at a Panera Bread Co. in the Lake Forest area and plan to get some writing done before or after my shifts. There are generally outlets available for use, and lots of space, and lots of espresso to get the juices flowing. Let me know if this would be something you'd be interested in, since there are actually two of us there that are participating this year...

Hey, thanks Katie! If you guys work something out, like I said earlier, I'll post your dates to the calendar. And if something ends up happening on the 21st, we now know of a good place to have the event=)

Hey Katie! That would be an awesome location, and all the food there looks delicious! The best time for me to go would be Saturdays or Sundays. Let me know if you want to get something going.

I want to go to the Panera write-ins in Lake Forest -- sounds fantastic! I have class on Saturdays until (theoretically) 5 p.m., so Sundays would be better than Saturdays for me. But Saturday evenings? I am completely good.

Since there is the write in near Disneyland this Saturday, what about Sunday around 2? I don't know how late Panera is open, but that would give us time to get in writing. Hopefully more than three of us would show up!

Paneras, Sunday at 2 is good for me. That'll make a whopping four of us!

Panera at 23592 Rockfield Blvd. in Lake Forest.

14h00, this Sunday.

I am in there like swimwear with my computer to enjoy the free WiFi and try to actually produce at least one word toward my nonexistent novel.

Wow, a write-in I might actually be able to make it to, although I might chicken out.

Anyway, does anyone know the cross roads of the the store and Rockfield? I have never been there before.

Here's a link to the location on google maps. Looks like it's close to Lake Forest Dr., off of the 5 freeway.

Hahaha, I might still be working at 2pm, but if a bunch of people show up with laptops that I claim to be "my people," maybe my closing manager will let me off... But yay! I'll see you guys there! (Since I'll be there one way or another.)

Just take the 405/5 to the Lake Forest exit. Make a left onto Rockfield Blvd, and we'll be on the left!

Ha hahaha! I go eat there a lot. I went there just this past Monday. I work on the other side of the freeway. I have some plans this weekend... yard sale on Saturday just like 3 blocks from there. I'm gonna be selling some books and stuff, so if any of you want to stop by it's on Teed St. From the freeway, go towards Rockfield and make a right, then make a left at the first light (Boeing St), then make an immediate Left onto Vesper and as the road ends into Teed, you round the corner and we're on the right. It's my coworker's house so I'm not sure of the address. Anyways, if you want to stop by in the morning, feel free. I'm Jenn, overweight brown haired one. I'll try to make it to the Write in on Sunday too.

See you all there!

Apparently I have the opposite work schedule of the rest of the known universe so I haven't been able to make it to any write-ins so far however...

However, I'm almost positive I can make this one.

Woot! Finally!

I have never been to a write in, but I can almost positively state that I can partially commit to maybe try to muster the courage to show up. Perhaps.

If I don't chicken out.

OK, I'm going to go there early, because A) I haven't had lunch yet and am getting headachey, and B) I was late last night, and I was so nervous, it took me three times of walking by to go up and actually say something to anyone. But they were all nice and super cool. Yay! So, if any of you are checking this before you go, I'll probably be there in about 45 minutes... eating, so if you see a girl with a laptop looking like she just ate at 2:00, that's most likely me. I'll try to put a paper on my laptop saying NaNoWriMo. I'm also gonna be wearing sweats or workout pants or something comfortable. If you see me, please come over as I'm not sure I'll get up the guts to go and look for people.

Hope to see you there. :)

~Jenn

Running late, but you will be able to tell me from the brown laptop bag and the brown/blue 2003 WriMo shirt. Well and the skeevy gray zip hoodie. :-D

Wave me down, willya so I don't sit in the wrong place?

Thanks!

Anyone who shows up...we are on the right as you walk in. Look for the NaNoWriMo sign up on the window sill.

I'll be there again today around 2. I think a few other people were going to make it as well. Just a reminder if anyone wants to get some writing done today!
