HELLLLLLP!!!
I was going to push forward with my intended plot, 'Memoirs of My Past Life', until I watched the Anne Hathaway movie, 'Becoming Jane', and suddenly got hit with another plot, this time a romance thing taking place in a teen artist's colony somewhere in the English countryside with a romance somewhat like the movie (art imitating art) but I'm hesitant to let go of Memoirs since it's my first concept.
HELP! What should I do??

Usual suggestion, write whatever is more comfortable for you to write.
On the other hand, I would like to warn you that if you have just been inspired from something you watched recently, there is a danger of ripping-off the plot of the movie. (It happened to me once. I was inspired to write a comic book only to realize that my characters looked a bit like Rukia and Ichigo from BLEACH. I didn't mean to, but they did.) Just try not to let that happen and take care.

You're welcome. Glad to have helped. ^3~
Besides, there's still next year if you want to write your new plot.

I don't think I will until I get it seriously developed beyond the mold of a modern day take on Jane Austen and Tom LeFroy...ehehehehehehehehehe...

Yeah, I'm having second thoughts too...only because it's tiring to think of another culture...hehe...and its so tiring. Anyways, I haven't written much so I can just throw it all away...
Thank goodness for second chances...sigh...I just hope that's true at work.

I've let my inner editor take control. I figured it's not always a bad things, since now my plot is moving more smoothly. The only thing is I'm reliant on my chapter outline...but that's okay because it gives me some sort of guideline to what goes first.
So yeah, this thread is becoming an advice column on how to beat the Second Thoughts blues. I'm doing well...I think. *grimace* I've just added two more chapters to my outline. OW.

I didn't have a second plot thought since I still don't have a plot, but I did have a second scene thought. I wrote a chapter to end in a certain way but then thought of an alternate route. Writing that makes the following chapter start on a different note and tone altogether and I'm not certain which to go for. The short but angsty one, or the long but lusty one XP

Hah. I don't have a plot either. I just write whatever comes to my mind. Which means my draft reads like very, very bad meta fiction. It's all about word count for this month anyway. We could always piece together something from whatever we come up during december right? :)
