If you are back here again for the last year... Put your name here and your goal for this year.

Selendrile Alys (AKA: Glenn)

My goal for this year is best my old count of 101,050 words... So my goal is 101,100... or beat last years sask champ of 111,000+ words... I will get the award for the most words this year!!!!!!!

I'm just hoping to make the 50,000. Hehehe. Though last year I made it over by the five hundred, I would love to make it to 55,555 for some strange reason. Or to 60,000. But that's a stretch, we'll see.

And nice goal! I could never make counts that high, way to go :)

I wasn't here last year but I was here in 2002. My total word count then was 52,178. Since the novel I am writing for this year's entry seems like it might expand into an epic novel, I would love to write 100,000 words. However, I am going to be realistic and, like Cala, be happy to make the 50K in time.

I have actually broken my goal down a little bit though. I am aiming for a minimum of 2,000 words per day, and so far I have been sticking with it. So I might make 60,000.

P.S. I just noticed you both have over 12K words on Day 5 and that probably doesn't include today's quota. Wow. Just wow!!

My goal is also an unambitious 50 000.

The novel is turning into a huge mess, so I might have to drag it out considerably longer after the 50 000 words in November, but I like sleep.

Hehehe, thanks. I'm pushing at the beginning this year because the long weekend last year hurt. I go travelling with my parents, no where big. Last year Regina, year before Edmonton, this year Moose Jaw. But I lose four days, and a weekend to boot -_-;;; So I'm sure you and many others will pass me shortly :)

My goal is to finish again, so I can increase my win rate to 33% from 20%. Could be a bit lofty with the other things I've got going on in my life later this month... And I'm going to Regina this weekend.

First I should worry about reaching the 50k, but I was thinking since this year, my novel has a more solid plot that I can write more with, I am aiming for about 60k. Achieving more than this, considering I just went into grade 9 and the homework has been just been piled on, will be a small miracle. I hope everyone manages to reach their goals for this year. good luck!

I'm back from last year. I just want to finish. I'm just a bit behind. I have been busy helping put democracy in action.

I hope to get back on track this weekend.

My goal is 90,000 and a finished story. If I'm finished in less than 90,000, that's OK too.

My goal is at least 70,000 up about 10,000 from last years novel. The year before that I just made it over 50K. I'm thinking if I get to 100,000 or so that's good too, so long as the story -- well "Book 1" winds down well enough to be considered complete.

I'll be lucky to get even 20K this year. Just too busy.
I write grant proposals all fall and those have to take precedence or I'm unemployed with no funding.

So i guess I'm mainly "here" for the buzz.

Sorry, I don't think I will be. Tend to take the main highway from Saskatoon to Regina and do the turnoff just north of Moost Jaw. I think. If I remember correctly. Thanks for trying, though :) The thought is much appreciated.

I'm trying to beat my lousy show up of last year's 10,000+ words. Hopefully at least 30, 000 this year. Might be lucky and finish.

Swift Current is on a highway, that's true. But not the fastest way from Saskatoon to Moose Jaw. Take the highway heading towards Regina. You're kinda the other way.
