Hello all,
Just thought I'd drop a note to see how the firt week of Nano is going for everyone? With the forums still a bit slow it is difficult to check up on everybody. Hope all is going well.
I had a rough first few days with little time to write. I've used today to pound out some words and get a bit ahead, though I'm still moving at a much slower pace than years past. Everyone else doing ok? Any interesting things pop out in your writing? I hope the forum is quiet because everyone is busy writing and not cause everyone gave up!

Oh, no, haven't given up. Of course not. I just broke 10k about half an hour ago. Just been busy, that's all.

No issues here. Been ploughing on at 5k a day though I think tonight I am just going to kick back and relax. Need to plot for the mystery alittle more as its not progressing in my mind fast enough.
I'm at a combined word total of 21,618. I wished to be at 25k by the end of tonight but I might just get it up to 22K and speak to my hubby for the first time in days.
I have found out its best not to tell people that my theft item in the mystery is a shovel because then I have to spend alot more time explaining why it would be important.. Though as yet no one has questioned the fact that in my story they are about to open a hotel in Las Vegas themed around infamous leaders.
Good luck writing everyone.

I broke 10K just about 10 minutes ago. I was hoping to do it last night, but I started too late. I'm only a day behind my schedule, though (compared to my Capstone, which is 3 months behind schedule).
This is turning out better than I thought. I was sure panic at 10K, and actually, in the 20 minutes or so I took to write tonight, I came up with a incident I've been thinking about the past 2 days, as well as where next to take a minor sub-character (I wasn't planning on bringing him back for another 10,000 words, and just like that, he wandered in sooner than expected!).
