I might be able to pop in, but my parents will probably expect me to stay and home and be reverent for Remembrance Day or something. :P I'll try my damnedest to come (I need a write-in like this to really hurl myself through the book a bit), but I can't commit for sure, so I probably won't sign up for the Word War right away. :(

I'm in the Writing Center 10 - 2, and then in the SMUDS office (or pottering around school) until 4pm, and then class until 5.15 after which I'll be in the office again napping until 6... and from 6pm - 9pm I'll be in the theatre moving shit around.

Hi Everyone,
I am absolutely new here.
I have been trying to follow along with you guys, but I am lost.
I gather you all know each other and are meeting on Sunday - but what is a "word war"? .
About me - I live in Mount Uniacke NS and I joined NaNo after I heard about it from a work colleague. I have not gotten too far with my actual novel (it is all over the place), but what it has done, has motivated me to get my non-fictional work well under-way. This is a huge accomplishment, as I have been sitting on this work for years now.

A word war is when someone sets a timer for a set amount of time, anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, and everyone frantically rushes to get the most amount of words in.
