Hi there. I see we have a Northern Louisiana thread, but nothing for those of us in the middle of the state - so here it is!
I'm in Ball, just north of Alexandria/Pineville. I see a couple of folks from Natchitoches have registered on the Northern Louisiana thread, but you really belong here, so drop by and say Hi!
Peter

Nice to meet you Peter! I'm glad to see we're getting more folks in Cenla. It's been pretty quiet there.
I'm originally from Alexandria and will be moving back there as soon as our house purchase goes through. Good to know there are some other crazy writers in the area!

I spent most of my years growing up in Alexandria, then moved to Ball for about three years before heading off to NSU, then left LA completely by joining the Marine Corps. In San Diego now. Just wanted to say hi to everybody!

Howdy ThreeMuses!
Thanks for checking in!
I lived in California for a while and really enjoyed it. And I've heard San Diego is beautiful.
I grew up in Alex too -- graduated from ASH in 77. Just had 30 year reunion. Wow, we're a lot of old people now!!!
Happy NaNoing!

heh heh... I'd thought I'd check in with this; they were speaking of a martini bar write in in a different thread... I have a request if we have a write in in this area, though. can we have it somewhere legal for minors to be?

Good idea.
You know, last week I noticed that the Alex Mall food court has free wireless internet... Hmmm... Maybe we should do a write-in there and we could send nasty messages to BR while we write... as long as they add to our word count...
Oops - almost forgot...
My Lousiana Elsewhere Region lost a Word War to the Louisiana Baton Rouge Region (and we can't wait for a rematch!)

Our Lousiana Elsewhere Region lost a Word War to the Louisiana Baton Rouge Region. (Funny how this works. They beat us, but we get to make fun of them. XP)

we could have one, like you said, in the mall. or we could do Books-A-Million. It's got coffee and such, plus if you need inspiration... =D I don't know if it has Wi-Fi, though. (we could all go with notebooks and pencils.)
hrm... =D An army of Elsewheres, armed with pencils and paper, march forth. XD
We lost, I lost, you lost. Yeah, yeah. (Penguins armed with sporks march forth=)

Hi, all.
A meet up could be fun. Most places in Alexandria would be fine. Hubby'd drop me and go visit his friend at LC. Books-A-Million would probably be the best place because of fewer distractions and space to write by pulling tables together.
Our LA Elsewhere region lost a word war to the LA BR region...But they don't know what we know...

And what do we know, WitchyRobyn? But yeah, Books-A-Million would be fun... =D Who else absolutely adores the new book smell of Books-A-Million (and can tell by the smell the difference between Books-A-Million and Waldenbooks)?
