...ack, did I forget to RSVP? I did! Well, count me in ^_^. And also, I can probably show up early to help set up, as per your email list request. And Tirjasdyn, apparently I'm getting swag before you for some reason, so I could try ordering more in case yours hasn't come in yet in time for this?

Will there be anyone willing to carpool? I'm at 8th and Quebec, and I'm not sure if I 'll make it. Though my mom is a little wary about it, so I'm not positive that will work.

Yes, there will be car-pools. Also, if I need to meet your mom ahead of time to asure her that this truly is a Write-A-Thon for a wonderful charity, I will :-) I love meeting moms!!!

But, even if we can pick you up and it still looks like you can't make it, I'll see what I can do to make sure you feel included (the love of my life is an IT Geek and I'm sure he'll think of something) :-)

Happy Writing!!!

BTW!!!!

Make sure everyone checks out the "Colorado Write-A-Thon Update" post because the hours have been slightly extended and the location has changed by about 5 miles!

All the new info is on that post, but please continue to RSVP here so I don't have to keep track of all sorts of replies to all sorts of posts about the Write-A-Thon.

Thanks :-)

Also... I'll make sure to post ALL the info again on Thanksgiving Day to make sure everyone is up to speed and knows where they need to be on Saturday, November 24th for the Write-A-Thon.

I'm signing up! And it'd be great to carpool with anyone from the north Denver area--I'm at I-25 and 120th.

Since we can't edit the dang post: UPDATE!

Well, I think I posted the RSVP a little too soon because I spent the day scoping out our location and it's WAYYY too small. So, I went Write-A-Thon hunting and found something that is only 4 miles from my original choice but twice the size. PLEASE continue to RSVP on the RSVP post but for whatever reason, the forum won't let me edit my original post so I'm updating the location/time here.

NEW LOCATION: PARK MEADOWS, 9233 Park Meadows Dr., Lone Tree, CO 80124
NEW TIME: 3:30pm-9ish pm

Also, I wanted everyone to know that this will be a mock Write-A-Thon from the one going on in San Fran. If anyone would like to make a cash/check donation to The Office of Letters and Light, I will have a Donation Box at the Colorado Write-A-Thon. Please make checks out to The Office of Letters and Light. I will have a blank check at the Write-A-Thon as well and at the end of the night I will count any/all cash donations and fill in the amount and send it in with the other checks on Monday morning. Please do not feel any pressure to donate. This is only for those who have not been able to donate online and want to contribute something.

There will also be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for those who complete the highest number of words during the Write-A-Thon. But, because I'm all about the losing team, there will be goodies for everyone who comes!

Ok, I think that pretty much sums it up! Happy Writing Everyone!!!

PS- Due to cost and the the location for the Write-A-Thon, we cannot go past 9:30 pm. Sorry for any problems this may cause. Next year I'll plan in advance so that we can go until we all pass out :-)

I'm just a tad bit confused. When you say Park Meadows, are you saying this will be at the Mall?

It's in the mall area. Park Meadows goes from County Line Road to Lincoln Rd along Yosemite. Check out the calendar and click on the event. You can then get to the google map of the area.

Sorry, I should really be saying "Lone Tree" since that's the city in which the Write-A-Thon will be located in but the building is on the opposite side of the highway from the Mall so I thought that might be a good name to use since most people should be able to find Park Meadows no problem.

On Thanksgiving, I will create a NEW post with all the exact details just to make sure everyone has enough time before Saturday to figure out what's going on. But yes, the calendar has all the details, up-to-date neatly organized :-)

*Counts* So, it looks like 19 of the spots are taken...that match up with what you have, Beat White?

At any rate, it looks like there's still plenty of space left, so hopefully a few more people will decide to come!
