Come on people! Respond fast! Cause if it's going to be under ten people, I'm SO gonna blow the budget (well it's not THAT large but it is significant enough for me) on nice le gasptastic food of overness.
If that meant anything, that is.

Plans are going well -- food is chosen and sarahcoldheart has been paying particular attention to the food-to-nano-with thread so expect donuts among other things.
Chris "The Creator of NaNo" Baty has emailed to say that he will email at 9pm San Francisco (Sat there Sun here) time to let us know if the internet is working in the Write-a-Thon venue there at which point we will or will not have our link-up via Skype.
Anyone else out there who can't make it to Singapore for this event feel free to PM me to arrange a Skype "HowDiDoDee" on the day, time differences allowing of course.
We are around 20-ish in number. A few people trying to switch work days and so forth.
That's it!

First Mini Write-a-Thon Singapore is now over. We had twelve WriMos plus one boyfriend, averaging about three donuts each.
Not sure what the total word count was but there was lots of chat as well as long, long silences but for the clacking of keys.
Despite being all geared up with cameras, microphone and Skype, the NaNo Mothership did not make contact :(
But we had a really good time!

We got a message from Chris about the Write-a-Thon.
Hi Rosemary,
I hope your write-a-thon was a big success! We had 120 guests show up at our event on Saturday night, and I was so frantic running around tending to everyone that I didn't have a chance to sit down and connect with you guys. I'm so sorry. Next year, I'll plan my time better (and make sure we get a working webcam, which we didn't have last night), so we can build international shout-outs into the event.
The good news was that, despite the stress, the whole thing couldn't have gone off better, and we raised $11,000 for NaNoWriMo and the Young
Writers Program. Please give my regards to everyone in Singapore!
Chris
