Well I'm officially an idiot. Some 7,000 words into it and my thumb drive chucks a wobbly. My file is irretrivable! Go to the back up. Well that would work if I had MADE ONE!
Where is that bottle of Johnny Walker????
Back to a zero word count.

its a blessing in disguise! your story is going to be way more concise this time around. You will FLY through.
Or maybe take the oppurtunity to start something totally new?
Whatever you do, DONT LET IT GET YOU DOWN. its a good, good thing.

welcome to my world. My whole pc went haywire - same as you, no backup, but at least I'd exported most of my work to word, so I was lucky. I now have a backup drive that's bigger than my main drive and I export to word and save in a different directory. :) Oh, and, sometimes I email it to a friend at work. :)

sorry for the guys with the thumbdrives that crashed as that is irretreivable (sp?) once they die they die (roughly 100 000 read/write cycles)
however if you have a computer that dies dont fear you can usually save the data... obviously before you reformat :)

haha, luckily, I didn't have to reformat, but for some reason it wiped out yWriter. I blame it on Bill Gates as he is not sitting in my study with me to protest. ;)
