Basically yes. It's worked out as the average word count of everyone who signs up per day. At the moment Essex are 8 out of 10 on the leader board, if you go to the Word War Banter thread there are links to the latest results.

you sign up EVERY DAY to enter the word war and just write like mad submitting figures before 8pm website not withstanding.
