The ends of my fingers feel kinda numb from hitting keys for so long, but I made it to the halfway point today!
Now I have plenty of time to slack off and watch some TV and make Christmas and Yule presents without worrying about falling behind the way I've done just about every other year I've done NaNo.
Anyone else at that delicious halfway point yet?

As I have said elsewhere, and shall continue to say as the month goes on, I'm sure:
HOLY CRAP! AWESOME!!! How are you feeling in terms of the story - like, are you at the halfway point of what you had planned? And has anything particularly cool happened in your novel so far that totally took you by surprise?
I'm not there yet, but I intend to be before Saturday is out. Mark my words!

Surprisingly, I'm nowhere near the halfway point in terms of plot. I've just entered high school in the story. I imagine I'll gloss over a good part of those three years, but soon after starting university at the tender age of 10, I'm going to have to track you and Rachel down, become your friends, and then hang out and have lots of fun while still working towards a degree. :p
Let's see, surprising stuff . . . Well, my father's turned into rather unsavoury character already, with his insecurities shining right on through and making things miserable for my mother and I. I can't tell if that's my modern bias showing, or because it's entirely likely that if my father was presented with a six year old who was capable of conversing with him on his own level, he just wouldn't be able to cope with not being in the seat of power as securely anymore. Either one is as likely as the other, really.
This is turning out to be a fun story to write. Self-indulgent time-travel fics are things that everyone should write at some point in their life. XD
