Okay all of you fellow Port Orangers, would you like to meet some evening for a drink at the Tiki Bar at the First Turn? (corner of Commonwealth & Rt. 1, between the Dunlawton Bridge & Nova. The Tiki Bar is the outside area with the big deck).
Whoever shows up close to the appointed hour- I'll buy first round (yes that is a bribe)! What evening might be good for ya'll? It'd be just for an hour or so. 6:00? 7:00? They have a restaurant inside so we can even get coffee (I've done that). Now how could you pass up a free beer or a free cup of coffee? Call it a meet & greet (ouch! sorry for the cliche!). Whaddya say?

jjachim I was just putting the invitation out there. No dates or times. No bites, either......
I know a great new bookstore/coffehouse in Ormond Beach. I'm there a couple of times a week. Want to meet there sometime? It's called The Bookstore, of all things! I've been talking to one of the owners about holding writer meetings or book clubs there (she's enthusiastic about it). Ormond Beach is not far away, I consider it a part of Daytona, just as I think of Port Orange as part of Daytona. It's all one big metropolitan area, and I drive from one end of it to the other all the time.
I recently discovered Gryphon's Lark on Granada, if you want to go for a drink. Nice place. But since you live up there you probably know where to go. Anyway, I'm game to head up your way if you want to get together for some writer talk. Anyone else?
I'm starved for literary talk, too. I've been out of college a long time and none of my friends are interested in that sort of thing. Care to discuss the classics, anyone?
