Because sifting through 3 pages sucks. ;)
So, plan for this weekend: write-in tomorrow, write-in Sunday. Monday has nothing planned thus far but we could potentially do one anyway, considering it's a long weekend! I know that I have a lot of words to catch up on, that's for sure. ;)
Also, I posted information about a Midway party for next Friday @ 7PM. It's a potlache so check the details in the event calendar!
Anything else that I may be missing, as far as planning stuff is concerned? Hmmm...

I've switched my forum view so the new posts are on top, because I hate sifting through the pages too :)
I'm planning to hit both write-ins; I am serious need of some dedicated writing time. I may be late on Sunday because I've got a training run that morning, but I'll try to make it.
I'm also in for the Midway party on the 16th. Once you've got a headcount, let me know and I'll figure out what I'm bringing :D

What exactly do you mean by a write-in? I have no idea! Do you mean something like everyone brings their computers and types for an hour straight?
I wouldn't mind meeting everyone... so I'll go check out the events calendar, if I can find it...

Emma, a write-in is where we bring our laptops and notebooks to sit around, exchange ideas, and churn out MANY words. This weekend we're at the public library on Victoria St. We'll be there around 1 (well, I'll be there early because I have a bit of Sci Fi research to do) and be there for, um, a couple of hours. You're welcome to come and go when you please, however. So don't feel obligated to stay the full 2 hours.

Just FYI, the public library is closed tomorrow for Remembrance Day, so we'll have to come up with a different option for tomorrow. And where, exactly, are we meeting? Upstairs, but where upstairs...?
See you guys soon!

Okay, I need to know something guys - there aren't any badges available for winning NaNo this year so I was wondering if anyone would want to chip in to get something embroidered by Designs in Thread (http://www.designsinthread.com/) on McGill. I've had stuff done by them before so they're pretty awesome - not sure about the price, though, since the last time I had something done by them it was for my high school grad!
Let me know if you guys are interested and I'll do us a design and get in contact with them to get a price quote. :) <3

How hilarious - this is turning into a thread where Elenya talks to herself! Oh well.
I still need RSVP's for this Friday's Midway Party!

I had RSVP'd to Friday's Midway party, but I'm begging off now in light of the Big Scary Papers I have due in the next two weeks. And a few less big and scary but still important assignments. Alas, the Nano is suffering in light of the rest of my committments. I will try to make it for Saturday at the library, but I make no promises...

It's alright Sarah, I understand. Try to make it if you can. If not, I'll see you online. :)

You know the most I seem to get done is at the Write-ins. Is there going to be one next Saturday? It will be our last weekend before this month is over!

I'm the same way too. I'll schedule two for next weekend; one will be at the Public Library (Saturday) and the other will be at the Chapter's Starbucks.
Throughout the week, I'll be able to located at the Starbuck's in Columbia Square (next to Shopper's) sometime around 7'ish (starting Tuesday). Just, if anyone wanted to meet up around then, PM me for my cell number and we can hang out and do some writing.

Hey, if anyone coming to the write in today sees this, can you bring a powerbar? I've snagged the same table we were at last week (I'm writing a research paper - wheee!), but if we've all got our laptops it'd be nice to have a few more outlets. I meant to bring one with me, but I forgot...
See you in an hour or so!

Hey guys! I'm afraid that I won't be able to make it to the write-in today because of a family thing that came up. I'll definitely see you all tomorrow at our write-in at the Chapter's Starbucks. Good luck with your word counts; NaNoMail me if anything comes up.

We missed you yesterday, Amanda!
I'm definitely not going to make it today. My CanLit paper is kicking my ass, unfortunately. I've pretty much given up on actually finishing the Nano this year, as real life keeps interfering. If only I could find a way to incorporate that 12,000 words worth of academic writing I've done this month :D
Have fun today, and hopefully I'll catch up with some of you this week!

Hey where was everybody today? I went to Chapters Starbucks and no one was there :(
Dont' worry, I worked on my nano for a good hour after I finally snagged a table. It was super busy in there! I got some shopping done while I was there, so no worries!
I've only got about 5000 words left to write--like 1000 words per day from here on out. Good luck to all the rest of you! Hope you finish (Sarah!).
Oh, I think the TGIO party sounds great, the in-person one. Any ideas where it will be. I'm game for the weekend you suggested!

Sorry about that, hon! More family stuff came up (my younger brother is having a teenage crisis and needs his big sister to diffuse the situation) so I ended up not writing at all until a couple hours ago. Eep!
I'm glad that you and Brenda are game for the in-person TGIO 'cause that's what I've got my heart set on too. I'm going to set up a few more write-ins for this week at the Sahali (Columbia Square) Starbucks for around 8:00-11:00 PM (since those seem to be my golden writing hours).
I'll let you guys know.

No problem. I completely understand. :) Hope everything is okay.
I got some writing done anyway, so no prob!
Hope the TGIO works out! I hope a few more peoples decide to come.
I hope you don't get snowed in up in Sahali! And Aberdeen!

So close - will be at it for estimated 2 more hours - pounding headache, though.
