Go to the thread for ALL THE DETAILS and to RSVP - First 40 to RSVP are guaranteed a seat. Literally, a seat. After that you get the floor.
I'm planning on going. It being a Saturday, that means I'll be leaving the Tea Spot early. I will make up for this by offering carpool space to the first 3 people to ask for it. The 3th person gets the trunk (it's a 1997 Saturn SW2, which is a station wagon). Don't worry, we'll put a pillow back there.

For those of y'all wondering how it went.... It was fantastic!
Elisabeth really did a stunning job putting together the event. It was held in a conference room behind the Panera in (or in the neighborhood of) the Park Meadows Mall. There was a power strip on each round table, two signals of wi-fi to choose from, and more food than you could possibly want. When the pizza arrived I just about wept with awe. Also, Panera. Endless cup of coffee for $1.80. The lady behind the counter was very kind, didn't mind at all that I would be taking my cup back to the conference room and returning for refills, and wanted to know all about our "conference." I told her. She was delighted. "A whole day just to write. That happens so rarely!"
Indeed. Thanks for making it happen, Elisabeth and the rest of Denver!
There was also a contest to see who could write the most words during the session. We all wrote down our starting word counts around 4:00 and then Elisabeth called time at 8:15. I am happy to say that Boulder REPRESENTED. Mongoose and I took second and third place with something like 7600 and 7500 words respectively. First place went to a lovely lady from Fort Collins, unless it was Estes Park (I think she lives at the one and works at the other).
This WILL be happening next year, by-the-by, so if you're going to be in our region, mark your calendars.
Also: This function doubled as a fund-raiser for the Office of Letters & Light, the folks responsible for our lovely official NanoSwag (stickers et. al.) as well as for acts of literary charity and greatness around the world. If you wanted to go but couldn't, you can make a donation in the event's spirit right here. (You can also buy neat stuff!)
Tirsjadyn sent me home with a metric butt-load of stickers, too, since I had run out but Denver had wayyyyy too many. I plan to drop some off at Deja Brew this afternoon (yes I will finally make it up there!!!) as well as at the Teen Space in the Boulder Library Main Branch.
