The words are flowing and the night is still young.

LOL. I'm still up and banging away at my typewriter.

One of these days I'm sure, my dorm-mates are going to murder either me or my machine. And I'm betting they won't be picky as to which one. ;)

I'm up. I'm staring at my novel. I'm itching to go back and edit. I know that's not what I should be doing right now. I can't help it.

I think the problem is that I got my primary protagonist into a safe place (albeit briefly safe) for the first time in awhile, and she had been dealing with a lot of suspenseful danger before that. The state of rest she is feeling is leaking on to me, and I don't want to force her out of it, 'cause I will feel terrible when I do.

Of course I fell asleep (at the computer) as soon as I wrote this, LOL.

But the words are flowing again this morning.

I'm here, and I'm going to start writing in a bit. Do you ever go into the NaNo Chat Room?

I never go to chat rooms. They slow me down.

All right. Im going off the web. Need to do a couple more thousand words tonight,

I went into the NaNo chat room the other night.

I get overwhelmed by inanity rather quickly. So, I doubt I'll log back in without an express purpose (i.e. someone from Bellingham asks me to).

Also, I got over being stuck with my protagonist in her safe place. I'm actually really excited about it.

I recalled that at some point near the beginning the protagonists were discussing the antagonists and how they might enact their Villainous Plan(tm), and one of them mentioned that they had taken responsibility for the Typhoon Season in India for thousands of years, and everyone else was all, 'Pfft. Typhoons? In the Pacific Northwest? WHATEVER.' And, more for ambiance than anything else, I've been writing about a constant downpour, and then it hit me.

Not Typhoons...but flooding. Oh, hells yes.

In other words, I'm taking the Villainous Plan(tm) to a level I had not considered taking it too (I meant to keep it low-key originally), but I am excited about it because while it is BIG, it is still BELIEVABLE and not overtly FANTASTIC.

For some reason, this year I'm completely addicted to the chat room. I think it's because of the word wars, and my inherent competitiveness. I don't really know, but I'm in there quite a lot lately. Hey, whatever gets your wordcount up. :-)

The flooding idea sounds good. I remember last fall when we got all that rain how there were a bunch of streets in the downtown area that were in 6-9" of water. It was crazy. And we'd be pretty helpless.

I'm about to collapse for the night, exceedingly pleased. Tomorrow introduces an important part of my plot, and I'm looking forward to it. I also intend to make it the only other day my NaNo stats end in the 30ks. xD

I am so going to get my green bar on the 14th/15th.

My story's going to be long -- definitely over 100k. I'd like to get as close as possible to 100k this month, and then finish in December, if possible. If I don't finish the first draft now, I'm sure it'll stretch out for months.

Ditto, though I'm aiming for just 100K

I know! That's exactly what I was thinking of! If that went overboard, it could have some serious potential.

I was aiming for 3,500+ tonight in order to make reaching 40k easy.

I managed 5,200. I am so pleased right now. My target of 100k is suddenly much more attainable. In fact, so much so, that I can actually say I'm going to get to 100k this month.

I find it very interesting. This year I am being much more serious about my writing than last year, I am actually trying to write something worthwhile. But the result is it is much slower and I am actually falling behind. I am going to have to do some serious BIC time to catch up.

It's going to be a long night. So far I've only be able to write some 2,500 words today.

This is so true. I've spent 30+ pages introducing things, and rambling on about what was originally supposed to be a minor, minor subplot. At this rate I'm not entirely sure my main character is even going to make it to Paris.

Now, off to eke out one... more... page. My aching arms hate me right now.

It certainly makes it easier in the long run. Rewriting's a bitch.

I've been WB'd for three days. Three terrible days of nothing. I'm glad I was ahead when it happened. I finally got hit. It's flowing now, at 1am, when I need to get up at like 8am tomorrow.

My blue bar's so pretty right now...

But I'll get a prettier green bar tomorrow. :D And then... and then... I'll have to do it all over again. xD

My planning is starting to fall apart. Structurally. Fortunately I figured out I'm in the middle of the story now, so its extra okay for it to be a disastrous mess. I have plenty of content to sort it all out while I work towards figuring out how the story ends. It's just kind of disappointing that the first novel I plan an amazing middle for decides to turn to mush when I get to it. ó.ò

I was going to start another one if I got done before the 15th, but I'll write part two of this one instead. That way I can integrate them more easily later on.
