I know it's early, but I need to start thinking about this....

1. Who's planning on coming to the wrap-up/TGIO party?

2. Do we want to meet at a nice place for dinner somewhere or do we want to go to D'Angelo for old times sake? (By nice, I am thinking a sit-down moderately priced restaurant and would love suggestions.)

3. Do you want to meet in December or hold off until early January?

I'll definitely be there :-)

Wherever we go, it's all good with me. D'Angelos is fine with me, for sentimental reasons :-) , but there are also places like Applebees and Panera in the Franklin Plaza, too. Like I said, it's all good, I'm pretty agreeable to anything edible.

I think it'd be cooler to meet early in December, because then we'll have the whole NaNo experience fresh in our minds.

Those are just my three cents.

Oh, I wanted to mention something about the day of the party. Any day would be fine, with the exception of Saturday the 8th. I wouldn't be able to go to a party if we had it that day 'cuz I'm going to an Evanescence concert :-D Otherwise, it's all good.

Even though it can make it tough to schedule things, I think having it in December would be preferable. We would still have some of the momentum/buzz of having just gotten through the month of writing, which I think would make for more lively conversation, etc.

I don't have a problem with D'Angelo's if that's the final choice, but it might be fun to have it some place that feels like a bit more of a celebration. My regular writers' group has a annual meeting at a Mexican restaurant in the summer that is a lot of fun without being stuffy. What about the Acapulco restaurants in either downtown Franklin or Milford? There's also a Pizzeria Uno in Bellingham, which would be a bit more festive than D'Angelos.

I am leaning toward the first week in December for all the reasons mentioned.

How does Monday, December 3rd look for people?

(I'm thinking Monday because that seemed to be the most convenient day of the week for people from the poll from our first meeting. A few people switched to regions that were closer to them, so if you want to go and that date is no good, PLEASE SPEAK UP!! Our group is small enough that we can be flexible.)

Anybody have any problems with Mexican? From chatting with folks, this seems to be a popular choice.

I haven't been to the Mexican restaurant in Franklin, but I have to teh one in Miford on rte 109 and it is very good. It is a nice easy and relaxed atmosphere. Personally I'd prefer a different night than Monday, like Wed, BUT if Monday is best for everyone else that'll be fine.

Okay... after polling and chatting at the write-ins, it seems as though people are favoring either:

Saturday- Dec 1
Sunday- Dec 2 or
Sunday- Dec 9

And it looks like mid- to late-afternoon is a popular choice (I'm thinking of a start time of 2-3pm?)

Choice of restaurant: Acapulco's in Milford, which offers a fairly varied menu that should satisfy most.

Please let me know the following:
1) If you are hoping to attend
2) If any of the above dates will NOT work
3) Your preference of date

We are a small enough group that if you really want to attend, we should be able to plan a time that works for all of us.

Sun. the 2nd or Sun the 9th definitely work best for me. Saturdays I usually work until around 4 :-(

I think that based upon what I've been hearing, our best bet will be Sunday, December 9th around 2. I'll call the restaurant to confirm, since it looks like they'll be more than six of us-- and then I'll post the official announcement.

This Saturday works for Dan and I, since he is definitely off work then.

Sunday the 9th is fine too, as he'll have enough time to make sure he isn't working then. So, count us in.

And congrats on finishing. :D

The day works for us. A later time like 4 or maybe 3 would work better. There are unaccountably 2 open houses for classes also happening that day from 12-4. Though we won't need to stay to the end of either, I'm sure Kat will want to stay for a fair amount of time for the rock band one (for those who saw it mentioned on the local homeschooling lists).

(BTW, thank you again for the ride home. Turns out it was dragging brakes.)
