Hi guys!

I've been waiting for the word war widgets to show up to make this post, and they're finally here and better than ever!

So! Edmonton challenges you. Again. After discussion with your delightful ML, we've agreed to race to highest percentage of winners and highest average word count. And the NaNo Gods are smiling on us this year - check it out! The word war widgets can have average word count built right into them!

So here's the widget for our challenge. Percentage of winners we will continue to figure out manually, but this is a nice way to track things easily throughout the month.

It is ON, Montreal! Sure, our football team sucked this year, and our hockey team is painfully bad right now, but the EDMOWRIMOs are an unstoppable force!!!

Are we just not updating word count or are we all sort of vedge? Remember we had to sing that song last year? We're not doing that again. Everyone quit being all 'learning is important, I'll finish next year' and just get some crap written, already. Yes, we are an artistic city and not soulless writing robots , but suck it up and get it done.

*End un-peppy pep talk*

Love,

Annie

The above word counter is pure Edmonton propaganda meant to divide us. Don't believe the hype! If you check out the word count off of the Nanowrimo home page, we're clearly in the lead! Keep writing hard Montreal! If not for our city, the best in the world, than do it... FOR SPARTA!

Ooops. I meant we're leading Calgary, the other cow tipping city in Alberta. We should start a beef with them too. But if we take on the Edmonton juggernaut then the 300 analogy is still appropriate... TO VICTORY!

That has to be the sweetest icon ever. Do you mind if I borrow it? Today was a particularly bloody day in my novel I'm happy to report. I tried a change of pace and wrote 2 particularly destructive scenes and I emerged 6,000 words richer in one day. Violence = bad in everyday life, but good for the nano word count. Edmonton, you will know us by the trail of dead...

LOL. Go ahead. So far, no one has died in my novel (there's mention of a huge explosion in the past). This may be what's holding me back (and term papers). I must go kill off a ton of people now.

Personally, I do have a lot of fun with my mad scientist and his precious creation: a psychic enhancer that wreck havoc in the psychic realm. It is as good as writing other stuff, I guess. It is always good to have a mad scientist when everything else fail anyway.

I have fall a little bit behind with what I had written. It is not all on the computer yet. I hope it will be all there and up to date in the next few days. It was a tricky part, so I have to use pen and paper to help me out of this.

All I have to say is "It's alive!" *Maniacal laughter* (-;

Tessykins, if you write that explosion scene I'm sure you're going to open up your story and your word count! Extra bonus points if that explosion happens in Edmonton! You're writing Sci-Fi, so perhaps it's a space-ship that blows up filled with Edmontonians... that's actually a cool name for an alien race! Cheers and write hard, Jonas

Hehe, keep on plugging away Montreal! Of course... my secret fear is that you are all sitting on top of a whole bunch of words and that you are going to update them all at once...

And HOW could you mistake us for cow-town!? I am almost insulted. Not quite, but almost :P Nah Clagary's a fine city, we are just better.
