Flagging word count got you down?
Tired of Aunt Emma pinching your cheeks?
Do you feel that if you so much as glance at another piece of turkey you'll scream?
You have problems? We have answers!
For all of you who need that after-holidays catch up time or just need an excuse to get away, we have been planning ahead. We will be holding a Write -A-Thon on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 7:30ish on November 25th. So bring your laptops, your thinking caps, and enough money to get your caffeine buzz on (the cafe will thank you) and prepare to type till you're pooped!

Awesome. I'll definitely have to take advantage of this.

This is today, and I will be there somewhere between 3-3:30 (depending on traffic), flagging word count and Red Bull in hand.

Wish I could have come, but it was just futile. This month went from decent to horrible in a matter of days, and my wife has been feeling really terribly over the last couple weeks. In the end it just turned out that this was not the month for me. I'm pretty much going to stop about where I am now, I think. It makes me sad. Still, I owe NaNo much for helping me get done what I did! I'm very happy with it and look forward to a completed manuscript in the future.
Hope everybody else made it and caught up on their count!

No, no, don't stop, Quemanqua. Keep going to the end, even if you don't make the word count. Set your own goal, maybe a few thousand more words--just enough to keep you connected to your writing. It doesn't have to be NaNoWriMo's goal, or the one you started out with. Just don't stop now! This is not just for you, this plea, it's for the little community who has come this far. Look how close you are to 30,000. Why don't you make that your goal? That's still one hell of an impressive show for a hard month (or for any month).
Okay, that's my plea/ pep talk. What do you say?

Well, I'm sure that I'm going to keep writing! I guess I just meant that my attempts to get to 50k are going to stop where they are. I hope to at least finish up 30k, and if there's another write-in this Thursday I hope to go. We shall see!

Chances are there will be someone writing at Central Perk every day this week, as well as the official write-in Thursday. You should come out and join us whenever you can. I'll be there this afternoon after 5.
