Hey everybody!

I am very new to this, and am excited to have reached the 20,000 word count!

How is everyone else?

Who needs an inspirational boost?

This is exciting stuff!

Congrats on the 20k mark. I had a super productive day today, and I'm hoping to touch 35k before the day is out... :)

Woot! It's a great feeling, isn't it? May the next 20k be even easier than the first.

I hit 25,000 words on Saturday, which is good because I didn't get anything written today. I've picked up some sort of pathogen, and didn't really accomplish much but nap with the cat.

Tomorrow, though. Tomorrow, it's back to busting out the text.

SWEET!
Congratulations, everyone!

Wow, 35,000 words! You must be so in love with your novel and inspired, and typing like crazy! That is awesome!

Thinking back on it, I can't say that there's anything I REALLY love about the novel itself (I don't particularly like vampire stories, so why I am writing one is beyond me), but I LOVE writing it. It's so much fun to just be able to write crack fiction and not have to worry about it.

This is so me, as well! After four years of failure, I've finally learned two keys to success.

One, embrace your suckiness and know that however good it is, you'll have to go back and revise anyway.
Two, competition and support makes for speedy fingers.

Good luck to everyone! We're all going to make it, aren't we?

Oi.... I'm waaay behind. But, I have a 4 days off of school next week, so I'm hoping that I don't get homework, so I can work mostly on my novel. I've spent most of the time developing my many (not a very smart move on my part...) characters, and they're finally getting rid of that new-shoe feeling. But when I flop the perspectives to a whole other team, I'm going to have the same issue again, except i've already made all the characters. *enviously gazes at everybody's word count*

Happy to say I'm just cresting over 20,000 words. This is my first NanoWriMo, and it's incredibly liberating to be pounding out the meat of a story without having to second-guess my character development or plot.

Best of luck to all of you -- keep the words flowing, be they bitter or sweet!

phew! Been playing catchup for days. Finally got to 20k. Hopefully the second half of the month will be quieter for me!
