Oh yeah - 20,200 words and counting!
So far my character has had two hangovers, one bad drugs trip, a lot of sex, some horrifying hallucinations and a strange fascination with giraffes. What do the next 30,000 words hold for him? Nothing good, I can guarantee.

How is everyone else doing?

I've got 23291 so far I'm behind where I want to be but I guess its not too bad. If I do 3000 today then I will be back on track. It's a very achievable target I think

Just passed 25K. Its a sort of a spy / mystery story and I seem to be working through it well at the moment. Then again I'm a bit more organised this year. I spent too much time tweaking the storyline last year and only managed 37k or so by the end of the month. This time around, I'm concentrating on the "spine" of the story with the main 2-3 characters and am pushing straight through to the end. It is going well and any sub plots / sidelines will only get put in once the main part is done.

Just passed 25k, a little behind where I wanted to be but not bad given that I didn't write anything at all for a few days. I think I have discovered the secret to getting past writer's block, it is clearly randomly introducing a cat named after a place you've just driven through. Well, it worked for me anyway.

Well done everyone (and myself) for getting this far. Hope we can all keep it up now and finish and I am sure that we will.

My internets died altogether yesterday, so i've spent the past 48 hours vomiting words like there's no tomorrow.

Managed to perform some sort of Victorian-style surgery on the phone line using a screwdriver (don't ask) so I'm salvaging this to update word counrt XD

Good luck guys, and good luck to all those still to reach this benchmark! It's a brilliant fence to have passed! Keep going everyone!!!

Well done - that's quite a catch up job you've done.

I did no writing last night. The creative juices just weren't flowing. I hope to make up for it tonight.

Wow I want to read your book! hehe.

I'm behind but have a day all to my self tomorrow for writing, so am expecting to be in the 20k club by the end of it :)

Yeah, that's my name alright!

Have had the Headache from Hell for a couple of days which has been seriously impeding the creative flow - I hope to get back into it big time this weekend. Should be hitting the 30k club by Sunday night I hope!

You're more than welcome to when it's finished, but I warn you now - it's a bit icky in places, and very graphic about everything. I do hope you're not easily put off by that kind of thing. :)

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

I did it, after losing all my work i have now hit the 20,000 mark, yay. Lol. i have been typing none stop for 30 hours around. I lost it once two days ago, then a few hours later it went totally nutty and i lost it all, all 17,000+ words i did, everything, including loads of stuff on the computer, i did some research and then i started to type, and i haven't stopped until twenty minuets ago, now i am off to go and get some sleep. YAY SLEEEP (i'm gonna be in zombie mode soon) bloomin nora i need sleep.

Well if i can do 20,000 in 30 hours i can do another 30,000 in however many days are left lol.

night night
