As we are now 2 days away from Nov. 15 -- the dreaded/beloved half-way point -- a few of us were talking about how well the write-ins are working as times when we can focus on writing to the exclusion of other distractions in our lives (such as our lives).
So, for those who find themselves falling a little behind, I'd like to throw out the possibility of having one or two "marathon" write-ins after the 15th. The idea is that they would last for more than the usual 2 hours, possibly all-day, giving people a "catch-up" opportunity.
If you are interested, please reply. Let me know if you have preferred days of the week or locations.
Obviously, two possible locations to check into might be the Brew pub and Chapters (since we're currently meeting there). But perhaps there are others that might be receptive to a day-long gathering. Possible days might include Saturday the 24th (last Saturday before nanowrimo ends), or the last/second last day of the month, or any other convenient day.

I could probably use a nudge - I made 25k last night about 9:30, but that doesn't mean I won't need a good slot of time in order to finish! I'd prefer something in the last week of November (post Nov 25). Anything with readily accessible caffeine sounds like a good location to me.

OK, I have booked the Community Room at Chapters for ALL of Saturday, Nov. 24 - that's 10AM to 10PM. Anyone who wishes to escape life's distractions and get in a serious day's catch-up or even finish-up is welcome to come anytime during the day and stay for however long you like (with appropriate breaks for coffee and food, naturally).
It's a great opportunity to surprise yourself with how much you can achieve.

Hi,
Did you book the community room exclusively? Or when I sit, should I put in a small label to indicate "NanoWrimo" so other authors can find me to interact with? :-)
I'm most likely going to be there.

The Community Room is not that big, so there's no problem having people find you. Although, I usually put little signs on the tables so newcomers know they are in the right place. And yes, we have it for our exclusive use.
Look forward to seeing you there.
