Ok well i just looked at the stats and Perth has donated $175... and since i donated $100 that leaves $75 between the other 200 odd people in our region.

I know some people cant afford to donate and that is more than cool but i also know some people can. I was hesitant in donating because hey the bulk of the money goes to helping american causes... however i also use this site every day and the money also goes towards that... and more importantly making the event of Nanowrimo possible...

and just so you know the bundle of goodies they send you is pretty damn cool :D

I donated yesterday, but I don't have my halo yet.

*sulks*

Hopefully, that means it hasn't been processed yet and isn't included in the $175.

thanks for the kick up the rear, I've been meaning to, and I got round to it this morning. Only a little, but every bit helps, right?

OK I have been slack in this regard but I fixed it a few moments ago. I too have added my little bit. Not a great deal but I as they say every bit helps.

I will have to be extra nice to my hubby tonight when I explain. :P

I am still waiting for my little halo. Won't I look angelic with it? LOL I just hope it won't slip and strangle me.

I would really like to... but, besides my lack of funds, I doubt that I'm allowed to. I'm sure it involves... credit cards or paypal or something, both of which my parents strictly forbid. But I promise that when I'm old enough, I'll donate... It's for a good cause, dude!

Well, I still have a problem putting c/c numbers through the 'net and I don't have a paypal account, so I'm sending them a cheque. :)

You guys are doing really well with those halos. I put out the word for DeKalb a few days ago and some of our Wrimos have halos. I was hoping for 100% but of course that's impossible. I hope that the Office of Letters and Light lets us know how the money is being used. I miss the library in Cambodia/Viet Nam option from years past.

If you go to their web page, they say how the money can be used, so i think that's great of them to tell us that. :) I know if Perth had had something like this when I was growing up - oops, I'm a latecomer, I'm from Melbourne, Victoria, so substitute the names - I would have had a ball!
