Now that we're at the half point of this little exercise in insanity, how's everyone holding up?
I need to type up my notes from the write-in last night (I meant to do it when I got home, but then I had to deal with some flowers - which aren't even for me! mumblegrumble), but I reckon I'm quite close to 19,000 words. My target for tonight is to clear 20,000 words, which should be more than possible, at which point I will allow myself to buy Assassin's Creed for my Xbox 360 ;).
Plot wise, I stalled a bit at the start of the week, as I decided to bring in Plot Element B, then realised I hadn't really thought it through, but I seem to be back on track now. I actually reckon I might be able to reach the 50,000 without moving on to the third 'act', which is odd as that's where my plot really kicks in - the rest is mainly building up my character from a blank slate. I've got more than enough plot for the 50k, now let's hope I've got the creativity :P.

Mmm, I've got a similar thing going on too. I'm at the halfway point (well 25271 actually) and so far, well nothing's really happend! I've built up my two main characters, I've put in the romance, I've set up some back ground ideas some of which will be used in this story and some of which are going in another story. And thats about it.

I've got the aardvark challenge done, but I've not managed to fit in tea ninjas or flamenco dancers (but I've got ideas for both).
However the war is about to start, so I'm going to switch for slow paced romance and character building in to Hollywood style special effects laden action.
The final escape for the characters is going to be a real epic scene, with lots of really big explosions and a full orchestra score (probably by John Willams) and...oh that's just the way it seems in my head.
Any way I'll be there on Sunday (Wednesday was a really bad day for me)

I'm over halfway, yay! But I'm having small issues with my plot now because every time I think my characters are about to move onto the next thing something crops up and slows them down and whilst its all good word count it's so slooooow. Blargh.
