I came across a post in the NaNo Technology forum (http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1062176) that has details about how to get a graph showing the comparative progress of everyone that responds to the post. That is what this post is intended to be.
As I'll have to edit this post once I get the URL for the image please don't reply until it has been edited. I expect that I won't be able to edit this post after there are replies.

Well, it turns out I can't edit my original post, so I'm hoping that this still works.

Anyone that replies to this post should eventually see their wordcount progress added to the graph above (It may only update once a day). I figure that it could provide some motivation for those of you that are behind like me.

And I was just complaining to my dad today that there wasn't anyone ahead of me that I could try to overtake... Excellent now there's a thread....

I have a feeling I'm going to skew all your results...
*sigh*
The problem with this sort of result is that it's hard to build a competition...

This seems like a great idea! However, I don't know that it's working. *sniff sniff*

Not that it's much use to me... but still

I saw this graph working for others in the Fantasy forums. I wonder why ours isn't updating?

My best guess is that it isn't working because I couldn't edit my original post in time and put the graph in a reply instead, that's probably messing with the code somewhere. So (once I'm done with my writing for today) I'll send a PM asking the creator whether I can just use the same code for another post. If not I'll ask him what time is best for getting a quick enough reply to a PM to edit the post in time (there's a one hour time limit) and then try once more.
