... there were a way to write in the shower.

Seriously. I've realized something this week. I write my best stuff in my head during the morning routine. Trouble is, I can't just drop everything and write it (especially in the aforementioned shower). And even when I do sit down to write it down, I can't remember it quite the same way. It's the same thing when I'm driving... I keep notebooks in the car, but even when jotting things down at the red light, I risk just sitting there while it turns green and ticking the people behind me off.

So... just wanted to vent. Thanks for listening, NaNo Orlando. :) Does this happen to anyone else? (and am I the only one who hasn't broken 10K yet? Haha... 50K would take a miracle, so I'm making getting halfway through before the 30th my personal goal)

Cheers,
~Jen

I solved that problem for myself by buying one of those tiny voice recorders. The one I have I found at a garage sale and paid the princely sum of $5.00 for it. It holds up to five hours of me yammering on... :)

i have had the same thing happen to me but i get around it by acting out or talking through the bits and pieces of inspiration (usually dialogue) that i get when i can't jot it down so that i will remember it later... or at least when i remember it later. thankfully when i was doing this walking to the bus stop no one noticed because it was 5am and no other decent person was on the street yet, now i just talk things out in the car. i have yet to remember to put my tape recorder in my car or purse. (must do that soon word count falling...) ;p
