Hi Wrimos of Portland!

I'm writing to invite you to the first ever All State Write-In! This year Eugene stepped up and offered to host a first time event, having a All Day Write-In with our entire state!

We hope that many of you can make it (we know it's kind of last minute) but here are the current details. If you're interested in attending, just RSVP to this thread so we kind of have an idea of who might be coming. We hope that people from every region can make it so we can show just how awesome Oregon is!

When: Saturday, November 24th

Where: Round Table Pizza, 55th and Main, Springfield

Time: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Come meet Wrimos from all over Oregon at this awesome and first time (and hopefully annual) event! We'll be having writing workshops, games, prizes, and more.

We hope to see you there. Keep writing!

It's a cool idea and I'm going to be down around Corvallis then anyhow. I'd almost rsvp just to meet folks and to have some of round tables maui zowie. I still don't get how it helps anyone write though. I can't imagine not offending someone with either the perpetual cig dangling from my lip as I type or my tatty robe or the pitbulls that have to lie on my feet because they aren't getting enough attention. Process is, after all, process. I'd love to say I was coming but I'd be lying through my teeth, that'd be through my teeth and around my cig. Have mercy.

Sorry Guys, Eugene's 3 1/2 hours for me one way. I'll have to pass on this years get together but if it becomes an annual event I'll plan for it next year. Have some Mowie Zowie for me! I'll stay here with my two little dogs in my lap and the one big one on my feet.

A great idea, a little too last-minute. Maybe I'll go next year, if they plan this at the beginning of the month and give ample warning and time to make arrangements.

But how can I write with a slice of pizza in one hand and a frosted beer mug in the other?

I'd love to come, however I work on Saturdays, and Eugene's also over a 3 hour drive from home. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but it's a great idea, next time we just need a little more notice. Thanks for putting it on.

Jamie had been in contact with Eugene for this before November even came..believe me, we're all kinda mad about the slow release of information, too.

Is there anyone going to this write-in from Portland? Anyone willing to drive there? I don't drive so I'm stuck unless I get a ride. I am quite willing to help with gas. This saturday I don't have anything planned and I kinda like the idea of jumping into something with little notice. Please let me know if i can hitch a ride with someone.

Next year should be way more organized, please contact Jamie if you'd like to help!
