I like to write after I get off work at Starbucks between 11 and 11:30pm and I am getting kind of sick of Waffle House on Tunnel Road (even they are really cool and nice). Can anyone think of somewhere else that might be open late and friendly to a writer (and preferably has a smoking section but not required)? I don't need power outlets, just somewhere to park it without spending too much money.

Thanks!

Denny's, but I don't think they have a smoking section anymore.

Is IHOP open 24hrs?

When I first read the subject line, the first thing I thought of was Waffle House. I go to the one in Weaverville a lot. Hmm, lunch...

There's also a 24-hour coffee house on Merrimon called Caffeind. Their coffee isn't actually my favorite, but I like to support them since they're the only coffee house that really caters to us night owls. :)
