Our beloved ML will be out of town this Saturday, but some of us have decided to meet anyway at the Red Moon (13425 N Macarthur Blvd - Map Here)

3:00 p.m. until they close, which is now 7:00 p.m. Winter hours, I guess.

If you're free and want to hang out for a couple of hours, please drop by. The Red Moon has awesome hamburgers and pastries, lots of outlets for laptops, and lots of room.

And if you have other plans (it is Thanksgiving weekend, after all!), have the best fun ever! We'll be thinking of you.

I doubt I'll be far enough ahead in my word count to risk the lovely social diversion of a meetup. (It doesn't look so bad now, but between the 25th and the 29th, I'll be working five 10-hour days in a row, so I need to get a little bit ahead, so I'm within striking range to make one last big push on the 30th (which, blessedly, I will have off).

But I'll be thinking of all of you--what is it? pixel-stained technowretches.

Have fun

Yvette... I'm sure you'll come through. A stroke of inspiration will hit and you'll add 10,000 in one fell swoop! Bring a tape recorder with you Saturday.. record the conversation at the Red Moon and add it... heck, work in the surroundings at the Red Moon: elaborate on the types of coffee, write descriptions of the sandwiches and soups... and desserts... yummy! Who knows? :-P

I'm going to try to be there... and hopefully, I'll be topping that 50,000 milestone today (but there's lots more to write, so I'll continue till the bitter end -- ha,ha! Never knew I could be so 'wordy' :-O)

I'm behing too, Yvette. I'm honestly thinking I'm probably not going to win this year - too much has happened for me to pull my grand "let's write all day and kill ourselves xD". Although, MAYBE tomorrow will be that day. Who knows.

I'll be there :D And I'm bringing my friend, Billy, who JUST finished his NaNo *growl*

We'll miss your dry wit and smiling face, but we'll see you at the Red Cup on Thursday?

WooHoo on being there. You'll catch up. It's surprising how many people make it at the last bit. Erin made a surprising last minute dash last year to finish her NaNo.

Well, the weather looks to be better than it did late last night when it began sleeting. The roads are dry this morning, and the next wave of the cold front is expected to arrive until late tonight, so the Meet-Up is a Go.

If it starts sleeting or snowing, that may be changed. No driving in ice.

I'll be there at 2:00 p.m. in case anyone wants to meet earlier and get home before the front hits or before dark, whichever. The Red Moon now closes at 7:00 p.m., so the meeting will end then.

See you there - and if not, may you get many words written.

Great meet-up, folks! We had fun, got some words written, got titles, met a Wrimoer from Missouri (well, going to college in MO, anyway), and chatted until closing.

I don't know when the next meet-up is, but we've kind of formed a habit of meeting at the Red Cup on Thursdays because Susan B. Walker hangs out then and there.
