Ah - just realised you're not asking me about what kind of shirts I wear. :-)

Sorry - I mainly just came in here to pester Balibee.

Oh, I did New Deal for Musicians a few years ago. Is that what you're doing or is there one for writers too?

basically i have to get a bus at 9 every morning to do jobsesarch with, lets be polite, brain dead neds, the sot of morons who brsag about how many drugs they have taken and utter the lines in all seriousness about "i read a book once". i am offered jobs like "it involves purchase ledger" as the entire job description and have to ssay on the spot whether i want it. i sit and do nothing all day, i swear this morning i looked threough s1 jobs, made 1 phone call to an employment agency which doesn't eveen operate its own phone lines but farms them out to a commputer, then counted some numbers on a computer screen got given 3 pounds and went home.

And Hell is defined nicely.

S1 jobs is no use. but i've not found anything better. I hate agencies. Good luck, and you have my sympathy.

Ah, you need to get yourself onto working tax credit: that's how I escaped returning to that particular level of Hell.

and now ther isa quantum job. basically i went to an agency and the guy filled in the form and took my details and arrangerd for everything to start work on monday, all i have to do now is await his email giving me the final details and confirming thst my references were acceptable, which he wil email me tomorow giving me just a weekend to prepare to confirm i am starting work. but until i get thst email i am only 95 percent confirmed as starting work s totally quantum as to whether i have the job or not.
plus i spent the morning in a room with morons who told peole that they were amazed they passed a frugs test cause they are always on drugs.

Oh thats rubbish! have you asked WHY the credit check failed? Often the details they have are wrong, PLUS it's the credit history OF THAT ADDRESS they use, rather than of YOU - which is a bit pants when you live with your brother in law (not live WITH you understand) and he doesn't understand that you don't necessarily have money when you still have cheques in your chequebook.
I'd chase it up, Kevin.

PS Congrats on hitting purple!!!

i di ask why the credit check failed and nothey wouldn't tell me. but i think i have figured it out, i have a close amily and everyone in it uses my name to for catalogues etc, and then when they run into trouble i ose a credit check, anyway not a problem as for one week in 3 i would bu running round like a headles chicken trying to getin on time, plus last time i worked in a call centre nearly had a breakdown, seriously read "harrison Bergeron" for what it was like.
