Nooo!! You're supposed to be the one telling us that it's alright! :P
I'm feeling an odd kind of serenity about this at the moment. After sacrificing another bit of my sanity in exchange for 6,200 words over the weekend, the gap I have left is getting less and less worrying, and I've booked the last day of November off so I can do a proper last-minute sleep-deprivation marathon (plus the first day of December off for resting and catching up on video games ;)). I'm sure it won't last though, and by the end of the week I'll be panicing again. Doesn't help that I've got an assignment due on my writing course by the end of November as well ;).

It's been bothering me for a few days that I am going to hit 50k and I won't even nearly have run out of plot - I think NaNoWriMo is going to turn into NaNoWriTwMo, and I shall never be free of Elliott's Bane. (You can pun-ish me for that terrible word crime there - actually, blame Moltare, he's rubbing off on me.)
Also, I've started typing on the notepad in my phone when I can't get to a comptuer, and this evening it ate todays words, which probably amounted to over 1000. *tries very hard not to cry* I salvaged about 750 of them, thankfully, but the rest of my divine inspiration is lost forever thanks to the incompetancy of Nokia. *cries anyway*

haven't written anything for two days on account af real life trying to take over again.
Aack.
Now I'm ill with a cold too. But at least when I'm ill I don't have to leave the house so I can writewrite on laptop!

That's been bothering me too. For the first time when doing a NaNoWriMo, I'm actually ahead on the word count, but the story is showing no prospect of ending anywhere short of about 100k.
For those who are behind though, take heart. It's possible to come from a long way behind if the inspiration takes you. Last year, I dug in my heels and hammered out 16,000 words in two days to get to the target.

The only other person I know who has ever done NaNo did it last year and still had 25k to go five days before the deadline - and managed it too. :p

Strangely I'm finding the last 10,000 words a real strain. I hadn't really worked out how the book was going to end, and as my characters have changed personality several times throughout the book I'm not entirely sure what strengths they're planning to use to overthrow my evil CEO or stop the brainwashed client from flooding Guildford.
Quite frightened they will discover that it's all to easy and end up finishing the book about 5,000 words too early.

think I'm going to lose. Runnning rapidly out of month AND plot AND work is insane this week. :-(
Still coming to the party tho! I'll be the one madly cackling in the corner...

Well, with five days to go, I had 25k to type, as a result of demotivation! I managed a 6k Sunday, so am on track. I'm going to make it this year! I'm just upset that I can't find 2006's novel (which is vastly superior to this year's!)
----------Panicking about plot: 5 days.

Suddenly getting inspiration and writing 25000 words in 5 days to win Nano '07 with a flourish: Priceless.

*clawing my way up a steep hill that keeps laughing at me evilly*
WHY is the last 10k words so hard? I managed 14K in my first two days and now I'm struggling with 500 words a day. And I've got all the time in the world at work because nothing's happening!
Might have to revisit some of those funny dares and things that I've studiously been avoiding since the beginning of the month...
Updated to say OH GOD WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME THERE WERE ONLY 30 DAYS IN NOVEMBER

Yes! All of you can do it!
I know I won't finish this year, but I'm happy anyway because I've written more than I ever have before, and can work on it in December too :-) I'm just aiming for 20,000 this month, if I'm honest:-D Next year I will definitely do it though!
Anyone else planning to carry on into Dec?
