Looks like webtroll & I have a bit of a challenge going on:
http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1067118
So I'm taking the lappy out tonight to get some writing done.
I'm opting for a 24 hour joint, so those of us who have tomorrow off can stay up real late, just in case the muse doesn't want to let go. Come on out and join me! Little black laptop, lots of stickers on it.
I'll try to be there around 8, at the Sbux on University Ave, just a couple blocks east of Hilldale Maul.
BTW, webtroll is a bit over 20,000 right now, and is looking for more challengers to race him up to the "catch up" point this weekend - if you want some adrenaline with your NaNo, check out the thread linked above, and join the fun.

Well, as you can see by my impressive word count thus far, I’ve got myself into an even bigger predicament this year than last (but I won’t bother you with all the details of the twists and turns of fate in my life that are often stranger than fiction, but somehow strangely show up in my fiction). Perhaps trying to write 10,000 words on the last day last year was preparation for an even greater challenge this year.
So, since the Wisconsin Word War Challenge Gauntlet has been thrown down, I’m game to try to get back into this. And while I’m tied up for the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow, you can count me in to try to boost my word count Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
And as last year, I took off of work on November 30th, should I need to hammer out another 10,000 (plus) words…Yikes!
Wish me luck, team!!!
Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving,
-Rex

I remember you posting earlier this month about some unexpected events giving you a late start this year... I didn't realize they'd pushed you that far off track! However, today being the 21st, you should only need about 6500/day to make it to 50,000...

Thank's for doing the math for me. Sounds like a good challenge.
