Once you make it, it's all downhill from here, right?
Anyone want to celebrate?

Yes! Although I feel rather carsick. I've been writing in the car. We went to Boston and back and Jay and back. Urgh.

But yay! I'm actually going to finish! Though with lots of nanoisms.... I love that thread :)
Er, did I say finish? I actually meant hit 50k words. My story is refusing to end, it snowballed drastically. Now it'll probably take 150-200k words. My characters ran away with my plot, hacked it up, and claimed the stage. We'll see what happens.

Yay! And now I'm hooked on writing. Not sure if that's good or bad.

I hit 40k last night. I love word-wars. Although I've gotten a running Nanoism out of mispelling 'notorious'. Not badly, just putting an m instead of an n. And now one of the people I frequently war with has the name for a rapper in her story :)

I'm almost there -- only 641 words to go. Maybe I'll make it tonight, maybe tomorrow morning. And then it's slip and slide down the hill to 50K. Yippee!

My genre turned into creepy serial killer mystery romance between survivor and cop. Cliche anyone? But it's sure fun to write. I am getting very attached to my creepy killer.

Made it to 40K. Whew. I'm boring myself tonight. But, I'm a little bit ahead, so I can sleep on it and work more tomorrow.

Finally!!!! I jumped from 33-40 today, and most of that happening on the 3 hours that i had for lunch today at work. It's all downhill now, right? I have enough time, right? I can sleep now, right? Tea. I need more Tea. No. No more tea.

I am rambling. I have begun to remove all contractions from my speech in everything that I type and say. This is driving me insane!

What is really driving me insane is that I have written all those gorgeous words. And my story is not even one quarter of the way finished yet! gahhhh why does this always happen to me!

sleeping now.......

Joined the 40k club yesterday; just ambled in at 41k just now. I am so excited to have gotten this far, and though I'm lacking momentum, I need to push myself up to the 50k point, because I know I can do it. I am so close that I can taste it, if you'll pardon the cliché.

You can do it! Both of you can! There are a few more days to go-- And so few words to do now.

I'm late, but I finally made it to 40,000!!! I would be done by now but I started over on the 16th and there is no way I can tie the other one in. I'm still going to make it! Just 10,000 more now....
