That should be part of the cardinal rules of NaNo!
1. If thou runneth out of ideas within thy plot, thou shalt include even more dream sequences, gratuitous porn, and Plot Ninjas.
2. If thou runneth out of plot entirely, thou shalt include yet more dream sequences, gratuitous porn, and Plot Ninjas.
3. If thy novel consists solely of dream sequences, gratuitous porn, and Plot Ninjas... welcome to NaNoWriMo.
While considering these, there was a car crash in my brain between "NaNoWriMo" and "Commandments" resulting in "NaNo Commando". Would this be the act of novelling nude? (Its surprising how easily this ties into the addition of gratuitously enlongated sex scenes.)

hehehe Chris. Yeah. I'm having to decide what the hell the real villain even IS at this point. I know what happens in this chapter, possibly the next, and a lot about the one after. After that, no idea.
EDIT: I just read alamaris post (she posted a minute before I): And read plot ninjas as Porn Ninjas. somehow, those seem more nano :P

Okay, okay! Nano commando zombies and porn ninjas, coming right up... although I did manage to get another couple thousand words by adding an author's introduction and an appendix. Both of these make sense in the context of my novel, even though they sound like sorta cheating.
Sigh. The problem isn't so much that I've run out of ideas. It's that the damn story is finished. It's over! It's done! And yes, everybody dies, except one person who disappears. And no, I am NOT writing a '30 years later Joy emerges from the forest" epilogue. I might resort to footnotes, though...
