Well, dudes and dudettes.
Please to be suggesting a venue for our TGIO party?
Preferably accessible to public transport for the ones who don't drive.
I am drained from work today so venues! Suggest! Now!

Well Midvalley and KLCC is rather accessible by public transport hwoever for those driving, parking would be hell. How about Bangsar? There's public transport ..though not so near..hmm..
OH there's Subang Parade too which have KTM nearby.

Well first of all, what's going to happen there? The venue should match the events.

How about Eaglewing's house?
As for the events to transpire: don't forget your toga!
On a serious note, having something rely on access to public transport does limit your options. This isn't a dig at those who don't drive, but rather our mediocre public transport system. That leaves us: Subang Parade, Midvalley, KLCC area, and the malls around Bukit Bintang. Telawi area if you're willing to walk a bit.
Also, when will it be? Thats an important question. I suggest either 1st or 2nd of dec.

Don't forget AmCorp Mall where we've been having our write-ins. It's within walking distance of the LRT.

BUt it depends on what's gonna happen at the TGIO party. Starbucks at Amcorp is rather small and i dont think we can make a lot of noise (not that im saying that the TGIO party would involved a lot of noise-making).
Oh, what about Souled Out in Hartamas ( although there's no public transport). And souled out serves alcohol. Hehs.
I so dont want the bukit bintang area if possible, bcoz traffic's horrendous and parking rates are sky high.

I think Amcorp wouldn't be a suitable venue as the Starbucks there is too small, and there isn't really anywhere else to go there that's suitable for what we're doing. Souled Out is actually a decent idea; for those that don't drive, I suppose us car-people can give lifts. Also theres tons of booze in the area, which will keep adrenalyn happy :D
BB's good as it has lots of venues, but yes, the traffic is horrendous. Parking isn't so bad as you can park outside the city and ride the monorail in, or park at city Square or whatever that old building is called next to Lot 10.

Any place that's good at the Curve? I think there's a feeder bus service that runs from the Kelana Jaya LRT to Ikano. For those taking the public transport, I don't mind dropping you guys off at the LRT station after the party.

If we're having it on 1st Dec, please please please can we have the party in the evening?? I won't be able to make it in the morning.
Yes yes I know, I keep missing our gatherings...but I have good excuses! Friend's wedding this weekend, and I have to work half-day on 1st Dec. (I TOLD you guys I work in Hell)
Anywhere's good for me...places with alcohol preferred =). I can pick ppl up from Sentral or Bangsar lrt stations and send them back too. The Curve sounds ok..

Activities people!
Since we don't have any, I suggest the following:
Excerpt reads!
Singalongs!
Dunk the winners! (revenge happy mwahaha)
I would put 'drunken sex orgy' but I have a reputation to maintain.

Show me the meaning of being lonely
So many words for the broken heart
It's hard to see in a crimson love
So hard to breathe
Walk with me, and maybe
Nights of light so soon become
Wild and free I could feel the sun
Your every wish will be done
They tell me
Show me the meaning of being lonely
Is this the feeling I need to walk with
Tell me why can't I be there where you are
There's something missing in my heart
Life goes on as it never ends
Eyes of stone observe the trends
They never say forever gaze upon me
Guilty roads to an endless love (endless love)
There's no control
Are you with me now?
Your every wish will be done
They tell me
Show me the meaning of being lonely
Is this the feeling I need to walk with
Tell me why can't I be there where you are
There's something missing in my heart

Wow you know the lyrics! Closet boyband fan! I dont care about your disclaimer, you know lyrics to Backstreet Boys!
Anyhows, im a fanatic Boyzone fan. No insults please! I will not forgive you!
Ok peeps, on a serious note. For all those driving tomorrow (especially on the Federal Highway), there will be a massive traffic jam due to road blocks. So, i expect it'll take a very long time to reach Amcorp. I think i would probably have to start at 9 something to reach there at 10.30am. AND i expect the road blocks will last the whole day. So be forewarned.
Anyone knows an alternative route to Amcorp from Subang Jaya without using Federal?

I like the Backstreet Boys. :p
There - my dirty, dirty secret revealed.
DATE CONFIRMED: 1 DECEMBER
Place - Either Curve or TGIF 1U. But everybody knows how much a nightmare 1U's parking is...
So Curve? 1U?
Definitely not my place. :p The only places with alcohol nearby are Marco's Pizza and 7-11. Hee hee hee.

I will probably need rides to either, but it's okay, because any car with a NaNo in it is a good car.

I can pick people up from Bangsar station/Sentral/Bangsar Shopping Centre.
I'd prefer the Curve, as it has Laundry (alcohol, outdoor seats, snacks and food, a license to make a lot of noise).
And I'll be late today... not that anyone will be reading this... road blocks? Really? Why? ... I guess I'll find out later for myself.

I'd vote Curve and I won't mind picking people up from the Kelana Jaya station. Please o please let it be the Curve! My car can hitch 3 (DM, are you following this thread? Yes, there is space for you).
Any day is fine, but preferably around late brunch to lunch cause I suspect that the amount of people hitting the streets will be high.

Actually speaking of togas (from waaaaay up this thread...) would it be fun to have a dress theme/color for the night, eg. pirate costumes/ninja outfits/blue for those who didn't finish and green and purple for those who did? In case we don't attract enough stares with our antics and loud exclamations of random sex, you know.
Just a thought :)
