I appear to only be writing at write-ins. Now I have 29000 words to write in... lets see... 8 days?
Ahahahaha (manic laughter).
I am writers blocky in the bit of the story I am at so have decided to cut to a bit I'm interested in and head back later. Hopefully I will get some intensive writing done over the weekend (have Monday off as well). It would really help if I wasn't also trying to move house and fill in an application for something I really want, because my procrastination skills from everything bar chatting on AIM are currently amazing. And if I wasn't ill. That would help. I am not quite ill enough that I can't write at all but the late nights on which my motivation thrives are sadly out of the question. Bizarrely it would also help if I didn't like the story because I think inner editor is lurking ominously.
So. Anyone else very behind and want to join the shitshitmadrushshitshit club?

We're not going to lose spectacularly - we're going to win spectacularly!
Although today's write-in made me all sad, that didn't seem to affect my word count, so 4000 there plus another 2000 this evening has taken me from 20,000 - feeling like I was heading for almost certain failure - to 26,000 - over the halfway mark and in with a shout.
Unless something urgent comes up at work I think I'll work Saturday and Sunday instead of Thursday and Friday, and head for the reference floor of the Central Library on those days. If I could leave myself needing about 9000 on each of those days I think I'll stand a chance, even if it's a small one. If anyone else has taken one of those days off and wants to join me, just look for someone with smoke flying out of the keyboard!

I may not be to far behind, but i would have liked to meet up, as i am free most days, unless something crops up, Unfotunatly my lap top is totaly given up the ghost. and there is no way i could get another. :( pity i liked that little thing. lol.

I've barely got 40,000 words and I've got 5 days to make up the rest....I think its safe to say that I'm going to fail spectacularly as I don't have the time to catch up. Damn and I really thought that I was going to make it...stupid illness!

Yesterday I was pretty certain I was going to lose this year, but somehow I've managed to get from 34k to 41k in a couple of days. I have to finish on Thursday, which gives me 3 days to write 9k. That can be done. I managed 1000 words on a 20 minute bus journey this morning. Perhaps I just need to sit on the 11A all the way round.
Sadly I can't make any more write-ins, as I'm at work for the rest of the week. But good luck to all everyone else still fighting against the odds.

With two days off, I thought I might actually be in with a chance.
Unfortunately, these days coincided with crippling PMT. Last night and today I have just wanted to curl up in a ball and die. Finally recovered, but somehow doubt I'll finish now, not with the other stuff I need to do this week as well. Ah well. I'm quite pleased with the story and December should be less hectic so I might try and finish it next month.
